So I think it's time we tried to move forward. It has been a rough week to say the least after the loss of Tom Gola and losing to VCU.
I for one am still a little salty. We have a huge 4 game stretch coming up starting with GW on Wednesday. The game is on tape delay on CSN at 9 or you can watch it for free on campus insiders.
Savage is out leaving us with even more of an advantage when it comes to our guards. Mills and Peterson need to control Creek and don't let him shoot open threes. Zack and Wright will have to handle the interior with Larsen who is a beast. One player I think the explorers need to really watch since Savage is out is McDonald. He has been a little banged up but I believe he is healthier now.
This is really going to be a huge test for this team. I want to see them rebound after that heartbreaking lose and win for Tom. They will be wearing a memorable patch #15.
Keep the Faith!
It isn't over until the fat lady sings!

I think we can win this one. I am more concerned about Garino getting hot because he had a strong game against us at Gola, with limited minutes.
I think the best approach is to give Lewis more minutes (who was really impressive defensively against VCU) and to split the playing time equally among Sam, DJ and Khalid in guarding Creek and Garino. I know Sam is a senior and G favors seniors, but IMO he needs to go in this direction. Sam had a lot of turnovers against VCU, seemed out of place for good bits and disappeared offensively as he has been prone to do.
I think Lewis has more to offer and will pay dividends with more playing time. He has more length, is an equal or better defender, and creates solid scoring opportunities, especiall when Reek and Tyrone are out on the wings and Khalid draws traffic with penetration. Time to let the new guy shine!

For those of you in the Northern NJ/NYC area, the game is going to be live at 7pm on SNY...

Do we need two threads for this game? One live and one for the tape delay, I plan on just watching on TCN at 9pm..lol

Yeah this is a good idea honestly on the two threads. I will likely post in the live one since I get it live, and we'll put one up for the tape delay.
Let me get home and I'll figure our how we can work it logistically.

Having two threads is a good idea for those who will watch on tape delay and do not want to know the outcome before hand. I went to the Nova-Marquette game on Saturday so recorded the LaSalle-VCU game. Managed to get home without knowing the score. Had it set for two hours plus and extra 30 minutes. Just as the second OT started it timed out so had to go to ESPN.com to see the final score. Add insult to injury.

I'm sitting here for the last 15 minutes trying to get the feed to work... Ugh, guess I'm anxious to put last week behind us.

Do we really need to foul Armwood everytime after he's clearly going to score?

Question for everyone else on this thread:
How are you watching the game? Out of the Philly area and watching on TV? In Philly but not wanting to wait for replay? Just curious. If I was in Philly, not sure if I'd be waiting for the tape delay or now.
I am watching on SNY in the New York area.

They say I'll like the game more when the players adjust to more offensive-minded foul rules, but I'm still not convinced. This game has no flow.

I know we always have the forwards come up when their man sets high screens, but Davis just can not move well enough to not get burned doing that.
