Mik we know you were kidding as was I but sometimes you just have to vent a little just so you don't go crazy watching this disaster unfold. Agreed but as Neumann said, the few of the angry clown routine don't get it.

No way to put it other than this is a bad basketball team right now. Not saying its going to happen but this season looks like it is going to be a complete disaster.

38 it is beyond disappointing and entering the embarrassment stage. To date we have played 1 fairly good team (Providence), 1 slightly above average team (Manhattan), 1 average team (Penn State) and four bad to very bad teams and look at how pathetic we are. As of now we are staring at a 10th or 11th place finish in the A10. That's the thing: we're going to play much better teams in conference than we've seen so far and so it's very hard to say that I think it'll get any better.

This team fucking sucks ass and they don't care. Absolutely no emotion from them at all. Awful body language and it's clear they've already given up on the season. I'm sure they will play hard but they know they are cooked and it shows.
And don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about. Someone should've knocked that Boss kid on his ass and no one even challenged him. They are soft. If someone isn't destroying that locker room right now it's inexcusable to me and I'm sure they're just quietly shuffling around with their heads hanging low- there's no fire
I'm sorry wright was sick and I imagine he would've had some value tonight but this team is a mess
Apologies for the language but I can't believe this is happening so fast. I'm terribly sad and angry all at once

I'm so depressed I hightailed it to Friendly's for an emergency 5-Scoop Sundae to eat my sorrows away. ARE YOU HAPPY LASALLE?! ILL BE SENDING YOU MY MEDICAL BILLS. Is this in NJ? I gave you a head start but I can be there in 5 min for round 2 Yes. At a buddies house doing split duties with the flyers game. Somehow he lives literally two blocks from a Friendly's.

This looks like a team that doesn't like each other. Something in their body language looks funny to me. There's no fire. Aside from Garland's lack of fist bump to Dunn, which could have been an oversight. I really hope this is not accurate. If they appear to not like each other that is really worrisome. The DJ transferring thing was odd to say the least. Could there be more going on here that we fail to see. In hindsight, G should have let the kids watch the damn banner raising, would have helped their apparent lack of confidence.

I think it is clear that Galloway was the emotional leader of this team, and he brought the best out of everyone he played with. Everyone took it to another level last season.
I think it is also clear now that Galloway's influence helped the team overachieve the last two seasons.
Without Galloway, we are an average team . . . now teetering on below average.

Many moons ago I ended up saying that we should watch our words after some silly pissing match between some Hawks fans and Explorers fans over on their forum given we were such an unknown, instead of laughing at their situation based on last year... It's happening

84 I think you are on to something because that DJ transfer thing was strange. Something I noticed and probably is nothing but did Price, Roberts or Washington join the team because I didn't notice them in picture but I thought A.Stukes was there. If Amar was there why not the other guys. Washington may not be able to travel with team but that is a guess on my part.

Since Bracy in his recent article wrote that the loss of Galloway was as significant as the loss of Jameer Nelson to SJU, which is probably correct, consider this. The 2005 first post Nelson SJU team started off 3-6 and looked similarly totally lost, but recovered and ended up 24-12, advancing to the NIT finals. So it is not impossible that the season can be salvaged. But I can't understand how this team is 3-4. Of course the flip side of underperforming against expectations would I guess be Joe Heyer in the 66-67 season, so we will have to see what happens.

This season is so depressing. This is exactly how I felt watching the 09-10 team, but with a higher level of optimism from which to fall (I don't think it'll be that bad, it's more about the disappointment). T I only saw the 2nd half. Watching this game was like "old times" we were an embarrasingly poor executing team. Thought that brand of basketball was behind us.

Duren despite situation presently I think next season we will have good talent and should bounce back. I never really get on Hawks and actually think most guys on this board have treated Hawks much more fairly than we were ever treated so I don't view it aa a big deal.

This looks like a team that doesn't like each other. Something in their body language looks funny to me. There's no fire. CHEMISTRY? WHERE DID IT GO? You are completely right. When Dunn subbed for Garland with about 4 minutes to go, Garland ignored Dunn's usual intended hand slap. I suppose that's maybe marginally better than getting a head butt to the cheek like Buss did on the sidelines from a celebrating teammate. The quizzical look on Buss's face was priceless. G as coach and Tyreek as floor leader better get this back under control immediately. But Tyreek was severely disappointing tonight. As non existent for the first half of two consecutive games as a point guard can be. But he included the second half this time around Pleeease don't contend that Wright's illness excuses this atrocious performance.

Nothing to say. This sucks.
It's hard for me to get down on any of them right now because of where they took us last year, which is something that I think needs to be kept in perspective to a degree. One year of success does not guarantee a dynasty, or even consecutive years of success.
But they should be better. Stukes/Roberts/Price need to be working on their chemistry right now.

BTW off topic but since venting is healthy for me lol. What a half assed announcing crew. Could we see some La Salle fans at all during this tournament? I know we had 30 or so. Just a disappointing experience all around for La Salle in Virgin Islands.

There seems like a definite chemistry issue with this team. I thought the team would come out and one player would begin to assert himself as a person to rally around, motivate and take some charge and accountability. nope. not in this game. Something had to have happened along the way this summer because these guys don't seem at all like they want to be playing. Garland against siena just loafing, G needing to discipline players, Mills running point throughout the 2nd last night. Duren looking too casual, no one wants to shoot the ball and it's going downhill quick. Dunn looks like the only person who wants to win a game.
Time for an intervention by G before he completely loses this team to the dark side.

Somebody's gonna have to stand up real quick and take command. Unfortunately, it looks like this is not in Duren's make up. Nor Mills, nor DJ, nor Lewis and certainly nor Garland. My jury is still out on Jerrell. Zack is giving 100% in the "loner club", but he'll never be the leader needed.
I'm shocked at the level of play. Utterly shocked. There might actually be something to the couple of posts about Price & Roberts dominating in practice. This can't help the tentative level of any semblance of confidence in the starters. Mills has regressed terribly (except on defense).
It seems like this team runs a few nicely successful plays to open games and then reverts back to a vapor offensive style. Totally out of sync, devoid of rhythm whatsoever. At his point, I see lopsided losses to Villanova and Temple. And maybe St. Joe's takes us out. We might squeak out a win over Penn. It's a good thing we don't play Drexel.
And this barely touches the A-10, who must be licking their chops.

He is away from his family 22 of the last 24 months. He LOVES his teammates and they LOVE him. NCAA rules allow Stukes to travel with the team because he is part of the team. They could burn his red shirt at anytime. NCAA rules do NOT allow transfers or NQ's like Washington to travel. When Garland was sitting out he needed to take SEPTA( I was told) to the Palestra to be at the game.

Stukes can travel with team because he is eligible to play if they choose to use him. Washington is not even allowed to sit on the bench at home, much less travel with team. I'm pretty sure that Price and Roberts are not permitted to travel with team as per NCAA regs. We saw the same thing with Garland and Lewis in prior years.

I'm willing to put this behind us and start over.
We owe it as fans and I hope the team feels they owe it to us as fans.
