Exactly how does a team lose one player but returns only three starters. How come Coach G forgot to tell Tony Washington and Amar Stukes they were playing this season and DJ that he was no longer with the program. Drives me nuts how little care is taken in writing these articles but at least they were more in the ballpark of where the team deserved to be seeded. 53 versus 35 is a big difference with team finishing probably around 40 on the season.

I think the 53 was less offensive in itself, than the fact that Dayton was #48 on the same list.

That's the peril of the internet. Anyone with Google and the most basic understanding of the English language can fudge their way through a subject.

I laughed, just another year Dayton gets overrated, when was the last time they beat preseason predictions....? Dayton could be a solid squad but they have so...scratch that too many question marks and their turnover problem..geez. What stood out to me was this line in the strengths and weaknesses section.. "To win the A-10, the Explorers will have to limit turnovers and shoot more consistently, particularly from three-point range." Did I miss something or wasn't our three point shooting excellent and we handled the ball very well hence the VCU game. Not sure what that statement trying to infer but #8 in the tourney all take it.

LaSalle had the 4th best 3pt % in the league, and the 3rd best (fewest) turnovers per game. We were also 4th in assists per game.

If the guy can't even spell a star player's name correctly, I'm not banking on him having any true knowledge of the subject. The rest is purely regurgitated opinions he read elsewhere. I'll roll with the 8 seed though, for whatever that's worth.

They also had us beating Temple in the regular season.
USA has a college basketball yearbook out. They have Langston Galloway playing for St Bonaventure.

Explorer Steven is kindly holding down the fort solo at the old Scout site right lol? Steve may be getting more visitors on Scout now. The Politburo has shut down the Hawk board on ProBoards and J. Cabrey has been ousted from the Ministry of Propaganda. Fans have been directed to use a preexisting, but now main board on Scout. Half pay, half free forum. Many are questioning if frequent program criticisms expressed on the ProBoards site prompted the School or Athletic Department to pressure site operators to discontinue.

We switched from scout to proboards as our program was on the rise, and in the first season on this board, made the Sweet 16.
St. Joe's is going in the other direction. I like the symmetry.

Wow- talk about alienating your fanbase! Hey we only like you following our program if you've only got positive things to say otherwise, please just send money and be quiet
I guess that's what happens when you have a mindset that a long winning streak equates to a perfect* season

Upside to this change is that I will now be able to post on the Hawks board again although I plan on keeping that to a minimum. I feel bad for the poor schlub who runs that site as he'll now have to moderate the free board there in addition to providing the premium content. I'll take a wild guess that Kommandant Kabrey has already volunteered his services. It's only a matter of time before that psycho tracks down the IP address of an opposing fan who is too critical and reports him to his employer like he did with that guy from Temple a few years ago.

That Cabrey-Temple story still is mind-boggling. Read the Hoops Club is an official university sponsored Booster Club, so it's a tough situation to bite the hand that feeds. It's probably a better set up for all parties in the long run, though the premium content idea is still crap.

I'll set them up with their own dedicated forum here, and their own Moderator if they want. They can call it whatever Hawk derivative they like. Hawk Hoop Club @ Explorertown.

Just in case you didn't catch the very next team in the USA Today preseason poll... www.usatoday.com/sports/ncaab/My apologies. Between the time it took to prepare this message USA Today posted another team. As a result this link takes you to the Wisconsin review. If you'll then click on "Full countdown" you'll be taken to yesterday's review on Villanova.
