On the eve of the season starting, let's get everyone on record.
Overall Record: A-10 Record: A-10 Finish: A-10 Tournament Perormance: Postseason Tournament/ Post Season Performance:
I'm more optimistic than I usually am, but still not as much as most.
Overall Record:20-9 A-10 Record:10-6 A-10 Finish: 6th A-10 Tournament Perormance: Quarterfinals Postseason Tournament/ Post Season Performance: 3/4 Seed in NIT, get to 2nd Round, possibly the Quarterfinals.

I made no predictions for the first time ever last season and was rewarded. I do think this is the year we play on CBS in March but I'm not getting myself into over thinking it. I expect to see great defense this year and think we will really be improved when garland becomes eligible

Regular Season Overall Record:24-5 A-10 Record:13-3 A-10 Finish: 2nd A-10 Tournament Perormance: Championship game Postseason Tournament: NCAA Sweet 16 Team MVP: Duren - motivated by lack of pre-season attention Most improved player and A10 first team: Jerrel Wright
Key factor: Suffocating team defense that forces turnovers leading to fast break points.

Regular Season Overall 20-9 A10 Conference 9-7 A10 finish ....I don't know what 9-7 gets? Could be 5 or maybe 8? A10 Tournament Quarterfinals Postseason/performance - NIT / Quarterfinals and maybe a trip to MSG.
I expect us to be on the NCAA bubble. So we'll get the La Salle name out there which is not a bad thing. A10's will decide our fate. Break out year for Wright but we need better rebounding numbers. Biggest concern for me is will Garland live up to my expectations (9-10pts)?

22-7, 11-5 in the A-10. 4th Place finish. Two wins in the conference tournament and an early NCAA exit, but I think we'll get in.

Very similar to Jelly Bean Regular season 20-9 Atlantic 10 9-7 OOC 11-3 including wins over Nova and PSU Can't make even a good guess at the A 10 tourney. NIT bid again Keys to the season 1) solid coaching, 2) Tyreek's on court leadership, 3) getting a decent contribution from Brown-Davis duo, 4) strong defense & rebounding. If we can do well in all of them 22+ wins are possible.

neumann if this looks familiar it's because I copied and pasted it from yours. I have backed off slightly from my original thoughts but still think we could get to 4th or 5th in the conference if we completely play to potential.

Biggest concern for me is will Garland live up to my expectations (9-10pts)? I thought I would give this thread a bump since we finished OCC and head into league play. I still think we go 9-7 in A10. The loss to CCSU was huge in the fact that we need to (a) go 10-6 AND (b) get to semis for us to be back on the bubble. I think we can get that 10th win but semis will be a real challenge. So NIT is where I see us landing and we could have a pretty good run. Wright has had a pretty good season. I would like to see him stay on the court more and get more rebounds. Garland has exceeded my expectations. There has been no chemistry problem. He has fit right in and added a new dimension to the team. Unfortunately, Sam Mills has regressed for whatever reason. Sam needs to break out of his slump. He will need him.

I made a mistake thinking we played 14 OOC games and picked a record of 11-3 but we went 10-3. We will probably go 9-7 in the A10 and finish at 19-10 and go 1-1 in A10 Tourny and finish 20-11 with a pretty good seed in the NIT. We go 1-1 in the NIT for a final season record of 21-12 which I know some will be unhappy with but that is what I believe. To make NCAA Tourny we would need 23 wins (23-9) and I don't see that happening. CCSU loss was a KILLER.

I hit my non-con exactly. And I'd take 10-6 in the A-10, which I originally predicted.

11-5 A10, only sure fire losses I see are at VCU and SLU. Likely losses are at Temple and at XU.
Our hopes will be dashed for a Big 5 title at Temple and a first Round bye at SLU.

19-10 9-7 in A10 But I think this is our year in the A10 tournament. I think we get hot in the end instead of faltering like we usually do. We win the A10. In order to do so, Garland and Galloway HAVE to be on the court...ALOT. The provide quickness and speed that we have not seen on this team in a long time. They both are quality players and i think when the season counts most, they will show up. If we don't win the A10 this year, I don't think we ever will.

All three are talented, but we haven't seen a Galloway type player in some time. We have to win this year.

We saw against Miami this team cannot overcome bad shooting nights front our guards because the frontcourt is too thin and just not ready. Couple that with our inability to guard the post and not give up easy baskets and you have what we are.......NIT team. Our only hope is to catch fire at A-10 tourney time and shoot the lights our for multiple games and get to the A-10 final and catch lightning. Regardless we probably need the perfect storm.

I had 11-2 OOC, 11-5 A-10 before the season. 10-6 might be more likely, assuming Butler, VCU, Temple and SLU are the top tier and wins against them would be definite upsets. No idea about the A-10 tournament, need to see who we play.

I had us 10-3 in OOC with losses to Miami, Bucknell and CCSU (admittedly that last one was a bit of a reach). I'll announce my in conference picks in a couple of months. Stay tuned!
