Screw the doubters! 147 points in WORD is pretty impressive. Based on many of the spelling and grammar errors on this board (MYSELF INCLUDED) we might all benefit by playing WORD...Way to go Kale......let me see K= 5pts; a=1 pt L = 2 pts and E= 1 point ...put me down for 9 points plus a double word box = 18 points

Kale is a talented and very bright guy.
About 10 years ago he shared in the radio play by play duties for the Wilmington Blue Rocks. He did an outstanding job as a baseball announcer. (He also did some TV work for minor league ball. I remember him doing a couple of Camden Rivershark Games and maybe the Reading Phillies on Comcast.).
I would love to see him do some MLB but that would probably mean La Salle would lose him.
OK, is this now the Kale Beers hero worship thread?

I'm not sure we would lose him as our guy on the radio if he landed an MLB gig. Look at guys like Tom McCarthy and Scott Graham, the both do/have done Phillies games and both do tons of college hoops
Kale obviously would no longer be a full time employee at La Salle, which would probably be the bigger loss
