Highly talented big from the state of Delaware is listed in Verbal Commits as having been offered by LaSalle. However, the latest article on him posted on zagsblog indicates that LaSalle is not on his radar screen. Does anyone have an update on this guy?

LaSalle is not that involved any longer it appears. Even St. Joe's is now hanging by a thread with him. He just announced he is visiting three schools....Georgetown, Providence and another school who escapes me. Georgetown is considered the favorite.

Liked Holloway better than Gentle Ben so I don't consider him as a big loss. G is in a tough sell position do to playing time for any big he recruits with Wright and Zack only being juniors, Davis a freshman and Washington a year later. As of now G has 5 players (Brown, Davis, Washington, Roberts and Price) 6-5 or bigger who will be around for the next three to five seasons not to mention three others who still have two seasons remaining (Wright, Zack and Peterson) for a grand total of 8 players 6-5 or bigger. I would love to get Schuler (guard) and Keith (wing man) but would be happy with one if we can't get both.

I think he wants to add a guard/wing and one big man and keep a scholarship open for a potential transfer.

88 thanks for the info. Both players look good but have never seen live so really can only trust what is written but appear to be legit A10 level players. Shuler plays in pretty good league so he would be ideal playing point with Amar and Keith seems to be very athletic with good leaping ability so if we get one or the other it is good news. G is all over the place so I have little concern that he will find more quality A10 players.

I don't think La Salle was ever seriously involved with Bentil, mainly because Bentil didn't seem to be that interested, so G moved on.
I also wouldn't give up hope on Holloway just because he said Temple was the school coming at him the hardest. He may be saying that because La Salle may be trying to convince him to redshirt. Think about it. There aren't any minutes for him in 2014-15 with Wright, Zack, Davis, and Washington. Hopefully he is smart enough to realize that a redshirt year at La Salle is better than throwing away a year of eligibility at Temple. Dunphy probably won't redshirt him and he'll be lucky to get a few minutes a game. Dunphy rarely gives freshmen significant minutes. This past season, he basically wasted a year of eligibility on DeCosey (7 mpg), Dingle (38 minutes the entire season), and Watson (12 minutes the entire season). He should have redshirted at least two of them.
If Holloway comes and redshirts in 2014-15, he immediately steps into the rotation as a redshirt freshman in 2015-16 after Jerrell and Steve graduate. He'd get four years of significant minutes.

Kjmac I would really like to see Holloway as an Explorer but it just doesn't sound like it is happening but then again you never know. Whatever happens I hope the young man makes the right decision and it works out for him.
