I have never seen him play and only heard and read little about him. Can someone tell us what we can expect from him. Is he in shape? I know when he came he was very heavy. I read someone on here that he is a banger. Is he a Ramon Rivas type space eater or does he have some skill? Any insight would help. He could be a real key for us if he can contribute.

89 good question and the people who can best answer this obviously would be G and players. Only seen Jermaine on tape and he looked to have good hands and solid foot work which is a big plus. I would expect to see him setting picks or down low 95% of time trying to grab rebounds. He will probably shoot from 10 feet and in. What I hope for is 10-12 minutes per game averaging 4 points and 3 rebounds. Really liked tape on Washington around basket because he appears to be a good finisher but only time will tell on both players. Trust in G.

Davis has lost from serious weight in the last year but is an ox.. He will probably get 5 mins a half depending on matchups.. Maybe when la salle plays St Louis aka Evans you will see more of Davis to match up with those types of above average strength players.. Davis has a great body for setting picks but I fear he isn't quick enough to get to the basket like a Wright showed in the NCAA tournament

Based on his HS highlight video and from what I've been told by people who've seen him play this past year, Jermaine actually has some pretty good b-ball skills. His issue has been conditioning which was a priority to improve during his redshirt year. IMO, Jermaine will put up similar numbers as what Steve put up his freshman year (1.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 0.5 blocks in 9.5 minutes). Anything more than that is gravy.

G has said quite often that he thinks Davis will give us what Zack did as a FR. He sees a bright future for the youngster. I hope people aren't disappointed with that assessment. Have to look down the road to see the big results.

He looked like a monster in the picture someone tweeted. How did he look in the scrimmage?

He is a big dude. Widest body I have ever seen at La Salle. He is more athletic than you would think looking at him. He beat Zack in a tip-off and lost to Zack once at the open practice. Zack is 2 inches taller than him and while Steve isn't super-athletic he is more athletic with his weight loss and training so that was nice to see from Jermaine.
I still think anything more than 5 minutes a night is a stretch.
All I hope for is when we do need him to step up in game where either Jerrell or Steve are in foul trouble on those nights he comes up big for us.

I was wondering about him and Brown myself. We understand what we have at the 3 guards pretty well. It is interesting to see what kind of bench we have for the bigs. We could be a much more versatile team if we can get 5-10 out of each. Especially vs. some bigger teams

I thought Ro stepped up pretty big in the tournament time. He got a few shout-outs from his teammates during one of the tournament videos.

I think Brown is a really athletic kid that if he could improve his basketball fundamentals could be a valuable guy off the bench to provide a spark of energy and give a guy like Petersen a breather for 5-7 minutes a game.
If Davis can be a non-liability for 5-7 minutes a game this season, I think that's a huge plus. Basically if we can give Steve a break when we have a lead and not lose anything while he sits it would be terrific.
With both of these guys I think it's not so much what can the "add" to the equation but what can they maintain for us in short spurts.

Rohan picked up some huge minutes to relieve Jerrell with Zack's absence. Might not have been a force on the statsheet, but was undeniably important to allow Jerrell to play his best ball. He stepped up bigger than we ever though, getting a couple of clutch buckets and rebounds against Henderson and Co.

Against K-State, "Don't mess with the" Rohan played 15 minutes, grabbed 3 boards, had 5 pts, a block and a steal and I'm pretty sure took a charge. If he can do stuff like that all season, he's very valuable.
