Where would this rank in terms of game changing pickups? Rank in terms of Murray / Duren / Wright. Agreed with the previous post regarding he is kinda his own rank because he is different. He has Murray's size and athleticism; however, he has a basketball IQ and a willingness to play defense. He does not have Murray's shooting ability and has basic low post moves. Murray has the advantage offensively but a lot of review and video shows that Brimah has improved a lot offensively in a short period of time. In terms of the impact, we saw Murray dominate games just by his offensive rebounding and defense, even, against Power 6 schools. We saw the advantage to compete against those teams. He can have that type of impact which is hard to find for schools like us. Aiken for St Joes is actually a better comparison. Tall and skinny whose defense and athleticism are Power 6 level and an offensive game that is behind. Brimah will have his first exposure to a structured weight room and personal trainer. Not to mention, coaching that will focus on his low post moves.

Here is the latest, minutes ago, from Josh Paunil who wrote the article on Amida... I haven't heard anything yet and a call to his guardian went to voicemail so I think they may be making the decision now. I'll post on Twitter (@joshpaunilnrs) as soon as I hear anything. I'd expect an announcement very soon, but Amida's guardian could want to alter the plan. We'll see. Josh

I heard Amida reviewed our box score from Sunday's game with Zack barely touching the ball and he now is reconsidering his decision.

Maybe he just wanted to talk to Coach and we were playing today. Maybe there r some late suitors. Maybe wants a guaranteed 30/nite that G cant/wont give him. Maybe this, maybe that-hope he comes but need a backup plan to keep program moving forward.

Wonder if he is not going to sign now. That would most likely kill La Salle chances. i wonder if another program got to the handler and got him to stop the signing.
if he is going to sign it has to happen today.

Def strange.. 88, you are well connected, did your source say that they even heard from him? Regardless, the decision.

Maybe he wants to check out our Basketball Arena before he signs on the dotted line.

Must be the new thing to do to gain attention. You tell people you are going to make a decision on a certain day and then say nothing (Brimah) or that you have to think more about it (Artis). I would never want to be a college coach dealing with this nonsense.

Wasn't Karl Hobbs the bag man for Jim Calhoun when he was buying talent back in the 90's?

Yeah which is BS though that he would come out public and then renege just 2 days later on even making a decision..
But maybe he has and hasn't said anything about it... or this can be a Hilton Armstrong rerun...

This is the latest info that I have heard...
I think he has known where he wants to go but his guardian is the one determining when he'll make his announcement. I do believe his guardian, who is also from Ghana and played college basketball, is a good mentor to him and is making the decision when Amida will make his announcement, but not so much where Amida will go to school.
I've seen guardians/mentors/advisers take advantage of kids many times before and this doesn't seem like those cases. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Amida had more prestigious schools involved with him than the ones currently on his list so I do believe it's more of a let's find the best choice for Amida and what's right for him. - Josh

Not looking good for La Salle right now. A real shame as this kid is a big missing piece the program needs.
