He is visiting South Carolina this weekend. While going up against a BCS school does not bode well for La Salle usually, this may push Brimah to make a decision in the fall. Apparently both La Salle and his guardian/advisor wanted him to take at least one more visit to compare to his La Salle visit I am not confident but I think if he gets to the spring La Salle has zero shot.

Maybe Galloway can talk to him comparing USC and La Salle. Would be grea tto land the kid this fall and focus on the Junior class.

His name sounds like something you wish someone on a Jewish Holiday.

Ramon really could play a role here as he obviously made the pro-La Salle choice when it came to the BCS school

Ramon > visit to SEC school playing home football game with 70+k fans? This should be interesting.

Ramon will have zero effect on the recruitment of Brimah.

Looks like Amida only took a one day visit and will not be at SC for the football game.
Keeping my fingers crossed on this one. Imagine next years team with a shot blocker of his caliber.

Looks like I posted some bad info. Thought he was at SC already yesterday but apparently did not get there until late last night.

could be a shot blocking machine. Read that he wants to go to a school where he can play right away. He also said he wants a coach who has shown they can develop big men AND has a recored of getting his players to the pro's. Really do need him to sign early. He could really make a difference.

Somebody should send Amida a tape of Steve Zack last year and one from today if he wants to see improvement.

As a side note, it has been confirmed that Desmond Ringer did sign with USC. Ringer was rated the #13 Center in the country by ESPN.. Brimah is #16 but his upside is elite

Amida tweeted this yesterday... if it is legitimate, and he is signing this week, how is it possible no one on this site can verify his decision?

The problem is the coaches at both schools that seems to be the last two standing don't know which way he is going to go although it now does seem he will make the choice next week.
Fingers crossed.

Where would this rank in terms of game changing pickups? Rank in terms of Murray / Duren / Wright.

Hindsight being what it is, Murray was a disaster of a pick up; Duren and Wright both appear to be the "program-changers". I know nothing about this kid but I hope he's more like Wright than Murray and i can't see how Doc would not learn the lesson from signing a kid like Murray at a school like La Salle.

I have never seen Brimah play so my perception is not the same as Murray, Duren, and Wright whom I saw on many occasions. All I know is this kid is supposed to be a defensive rim protector supreme which is what we really need to add to the program. Because of that I really hope we can grab him. If we don't it won't be for a lack of trying.
There is only Aaric Murray in the world. This kid is most likley not in the same stratosphere, and I am not talking talent.
Fingers crossed.

South Carolina in the hunt... how much does this kid want to go to a BCS school? I imagine he could get similar playing time as a Gamecock as he could here.

Keep an eye on FIU's Rick Pitino Jr. No insider info but I've read he has home field advantage and is relentless recruiter like his old man.
Name from past. 6-7 Rodney Williams from VA picked Drexel over Bonnies.

I really liked what he has to say about La Salle. I am cautiously optimistic. He liked the environment and the player chemistry. Hopefully he likes the small college atmosphere that plays big-time basketball.
I heard that sInce recruiting Brimah the staff has flown the see him once per week as allowed by NCAA rules.
Fingers crossed.

Interesting to think, if this pans out, how the team's strength now becomes geared towards the frontcourt.
His size and athleticism is Power 6 quality and, well, for as improved as Steve Zack is.. Brimah is a man among boys and is getting a majority of the minutes at the 5.
