Figured we could keep a running thread going about how our guys are doing. Right now here's who we have playing:
- Rodney Green (Utah Jazz) - Ramon Galloway (Denver Nuggets) - Rasual Butler (Indiana Pacers)

Rodney and Rasual are playing in the Orlando portion, which is going on now. Ramon's in the Vegas League, which starts the end of this week (his first game is Saturday).
Rodney played like 6 minutes and has 2 points and 2 steals in his first game.
Rasual playing in the summer league at 34 is certainly...interesting. He must be giving it one last shot at catching on somewhere.

Yeah, Rodney got a DNP.
Really this is all warm up. Rodney's not going to end up on an NBA roster. And Butler is trying for a last gasp.
Ramon's games are the one's I really can't wait for, starting in a few days.

Hey, I'd love it, but at this point: no I don't see it. Especially if he's getting DNP's in Summer League games.

Rodney played 4:36 today. 1 Rebound, 1 Assist, 1 Turnover.
Rodney's Jazz play Rasual's Pacers tomorrow in the last day of the Orlando leg of the Summer League.

Correction to that: Apparently Friday is the last day, there's just no games scheduled yet since it's the 1st Place game, the 3rd Place game, 5th place, etc.

www.nba.com/games/20130711/INDUTA/gameinfo.htmlThe La Salle bowl is over. Rodney got another DNP with Utah. Rasual played 13 minutes for Indiana, but was only 1-7 shooting, including 0-5 from 3. 2 assists, 3 boards. 1 more game left for each team, which will depend on the "Final Standings" after the rest of today's game. Both teams are 2-2, so they could end up playing each other again tomorrow I guess.

Indiana and Utah play again today at 10:00AM in what is technically the 3rd place game, although teams 3-8 in the league all went 2-2. Rodney has not played in Utah's last 2 games, so he may not play at all.
After today, the Orlando portion is over. Ramon's first game with Denver is tomorrow @4:00PM against Milwaukee.

Anybody know why Ramon didn't play at all against Milwaukee? I was going to go and watch but I'm glad I didn't. His prospects must not be looking good if he can't even get on the court when his team was losing by 20 most of the the 2nd half. I don't know if there was an agreement for him to sit out this game and play the next one or something like that but how disappointing for him.

Yeah, hopefully it has something to do with his ankle, or that over the course of the first 2 games everyone was going to play or something like that.
Denver's next game is tomorrow night against Chicago at 10:30 PM.

These summer league rosters are typically 15-16 deep and at least 4 guys are told they'll be DNP's ahead of time. Hopefully last night was just Ramon's turn to be a DNP and he'll get minutes tomorrow night, and get enough of them to show what he can do.
Unfortunately, Rodney didn't even get a chance. He got so few minutes in the two games he played in, it was a waste of time for him to even be there.

I watched the game and frankly the backcourt for Denver looked horrible. Eric Green was horrible and I never understood the hype behind him.

Rodney got quite a bit of playing time for the Celtics in Summer League a few years ago. Had some moments, but on the whole, he was too turnover prone.
His problem is that while he's better with the ball in his hands than many NBA players, he's not as good off the ball (spacing the floor with range, for instance). And guys scrapping for roster spots, obviously need to excel off the ball (like Rasual once upon a time).

Wow! That seems like a weird league for Ramon. I would have thought he could have ended up in Spain or Italy. I have absolutely no idea about the level of play in Bosnian basketball. But a look at the other rosters shows there's almost zero Americans in this league. There's a few but I don't know any of them.
Ramon's also in a weird spot in Bosnia. It's a pretty small town in Srpska, which is the Serbian part of Bosnia. This was one of the craziest parts in the world 20 years ago.
Congrats, though, to a great guy who begins his journey.

Ramon got a lot of pt in this 1st half against Washington but he just looks lost for the most part. The speed of the game seems too much for him. He's afraid to take his man off the dribble and he's too slow on defense to guard the pg's.

Glad to see Ramon gets a chance to show his skills overseas and make good money over there. I am sure he will get tons of playing time and will be a great asset to his new team. With his personality I think he would be a great teammate for any team. It is interesting he is listed as the starting PG. I will enjoy following his stats and hope he can make it to the NBA within a couple years.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him tear this league apart and maybe make a D-League roster in a few years.
