LWC, focus dude, focus.
Brad Stevens, took a good opportunity and gave Butler everything they have right now regarding men's basketball. He and Mark Few did so much to help our smaller schools recruit as well, so we (& G) should really appreciate that fact. It's definitely good to see him rewarded as a mid major coach. If G got La Salle to the NCAA championship 2 years in a row and started making the tourney every year, I would write him hate mail if he didn't take an NBA job offered by a premier team. I would be sad to see him go, but you need to have goals and if he doesn't take those steps up, it says something about his confidence that he can succeed at the next level. Stevens will still have goals in rebuilding this team which looks like it will be very young and ready to get him the personnel needed to reach his undeniable goal of winning a championship where he won't be the consumate underdog. Fact of the matter is having a winning record with the C's will be harder than in the new Big East.

I've had my suspicions for a while now but this thread seems to confirm what I thought. lwc4591 is a relative of explorer Steve.

There's a thin line between 'Brad Stevens made a bad move' and 'Brad Stevens made a move that I personally do not approve of.' We've obviously crossed that line here.
Even worse than Harper winning ROY last year were all those polls that had Dewey 17 points ahead of Truman. What a crock.

Edwards I like your sense of humor. As far as Brad Stevens goes I don't care that he is gone and I don't blame him for taking the cash but I stick by my statement in that he hardly needed his new contract to be comfortable in life. As for Harper my anger is much more with MLB than with him although if he has any class he will back out with a fake injury because his stats are embarrassing.

I don't like when you do laundry and can't find a sock afterwards. Is this a good place to voice that anger?

Question how did Bryce the asshole harper make the all shit team with 24 rbi's. Last season hardon made snookie of the year with stats that D.Brown has already passed. Harper's stats were the poorest rookie of the year stats in memory. Has hardon been sleeping with the commissioner wife. Absolute disgrace to the players who deserved it. Hope the son of a bitch runs into another F.... wall something something Brad Stevens yeahhhhh. but seriously, where the hell did this come from???

Duren I was just reading All Star selections prior to reading this thread and was just so frustrated with MLB selections that I just started winging it while having no connection with Stevens post. Sorry guys for my rant but something tells me my frustration is more about the play of our very average Phillies.

And maybe just enjoy Harper? We're hitting a huge peak in terms of up-the-middle / athletic future stars right now with a couple more massive ones to come. Like a good dozen in a 5 year span or something. Its awesome.

I heard that coach G was offered the Sixers job but turned it down.
As far as the Phillies go, there is a new movie coming out about how they do things differently then other teams. When the Phillies pitcher has a 0-2 count on the batter he throws the next pitch right down the middle of the plate. When a Phillies batter comes to the plate, after seeing the previous 2 guys walk on 8 pitches, he takes a swing at the first pitch he sees. When a Phillies manager has two lefties warming in the bullpen he signals for "the left-hander". When the Phillies GM has a chance to rebuild the franchise he lets Utley, Rollins and Ruiz get to the point where they have no value. The title is "Dummy Ball".

Ironic enough, the Phillies are playing what could be arguably considered their best ball all season. Fool's gold though!
