Jon Rothstein is at practice today. He's already sent like 9 tweets, so I won't post all of them. But his twitter name is @jonrothstein and I'd expect an article later today as well.

@jonrothstein: Good chat with La Salle coach Dr. John Giannini, whose team will be in the mix for an A10 title next year.....
@jonrothstein: Giannini on how things have changed since the Sweet 16 "You can't go anywhere in Philadelphia without someone saying something nice."
@jonrothstein: Giannini on La Salle in 13-14 "We have really good players + we won't rely on one guy. We're going to be balanced."
@jonrothstein: Giannini on Tyrone Garland "He should fill Ramon Galloway's role. He's proven he's a really capable scorer."
@jonrothstein: Giannini on Khalid Lewis "He's been very impressive. He gives us a really good player that we can bring off the bench."
@jonrothstein: Giannini on Steve Zack + Jerrell Wright "Our guards have been so good, they've taken attention away from the two of them."
@jonrothstein: Giannini on Jerrell Wright "The entire country knows how good he is because of what he did in the NCAA Tournament."
@jonrothstein: Giannini on Steve Zack "He plays winning basketball. He's got an extremely high IQ."
@jonrothstein: Giannini on Tyreek Duren "I wouldn't trade him for anyone."
@jonrothstein: Giannini on the A10 "The depth of the league is unmatched. There's not a league in America that has a 10th place team as good as we do."
@jonrothstein: Giannini on the two league games vs. St. Joe's "It's not my decision, but my first choice would be to play both games in the Palestra."

Its all about next year right now for him. I wouldn't worry to much about them just yet.I was waiting to hear his thoughts on Zack and Wright but didn't get much. Great to hear Davis is a good reserve and Khalid will be a valuable player. Mills seemed to really impress him today from what it sounds like.

This gets me SO FIRED UP for next season. I love how hard these kids are working in the offseason. I think Mills has the chance to be one of the best perimeter shooters in the league and he's shown it in games like v Fordham last year. T Garland is a great all around player and scorer, not sure if he has ramon's D, but I don't think we saw all of his offensive talent last year. The Zack is Back. Duren, enough said, G wouldn't trade him for anyone in the league and he's not just saying that. J davis is the person I would really like to hear about, he sounds like he plays big and can push people around down low + given the opportunity to go big, small or an "in between" G now has the option to match up with a team like Wichita if we get that chance again. Big shout out to Jon Rothstein!

I can't answer that for sure, but I would imagine since surgery wasn't required the severe sprain should be completely recovered at this point if he has been rehabbing. Anyone have more info on that?

Question???. Are T.Washington, C.Roberts and A.Stukes also at practice and if so does anyone know how they have looked. Roberts has been at La Salle since the start of the Summer I session (May 20th) since he's a transfer. Stukes and Washington hadn't even graduated high school yet so there's no way they could enroll for the first session. They should be on campus next week for the Summer II session that starts on the 26th. Stukes will be able to practice but Washington's status may still be up in the air. If he is considered a non-qualifier, he won't be able to practice, but if he's considered a partial qualifier, he could be given the okay to practice like Ricardo Ledo did at Providence last season. Hopefully Tony either qualifies outright or is given partial qualifier status by the Clearinghouse so he can take part in practice and team activities. espn.go.com/blog/collegebasketballnation/post/_/id/63564/as-expected-ledo-a-partial-qualifierNot sure which upperclassmen are sticking around for Summer II but I believe at least a couple of them were given the okay to take it off.

Kjmac didn't realize T.Washington was a possible no go this season. I noticed nothing was said regarding DJ Peterson (possibly G told him to go home to family for the summer )

I like the Rohan comment. If he develops an outside shot at all he'll be a very good player. He had a lot of really good minutes in the tournament, particularly in the K-State game.

Peterson is at school 100% sure. Perhaps he didn't practice today but I bet he did.
Rohan worries me, I really wasn't impressed by him. He made a few decent moves but he needs a lot more development hopefully he can bring something to the table but for what I saw I think that could be pretty limited. You never know though he can learn a lot from this veteran squad.
I am really hoping on an improvement from Zack he is an decent player great screener dishes the ball well and great f/t shooter but I am still looking for a little upgrade in him this year. Doesn't need to be much just something else perhaps rebounding and getting a little bit more aggressive on the boards.

Rohan isn't expected to be a big contributor this year, so it really shouldn't worry you. He is going to be a role player off the bench for us and it seems like he is a good guy to have on the team.

Looks like G is expecting big things from Khalid Lewis. Really good article about Khalid and also how G views his players. He's not concerned with labels like point guard, shooting guard, etc. He just wants guards who are well-rounded and can handle, pass, shoot and defend. Going after Johnnie Shuler will have no impact on Amar Stukes. They can be on the floor together because at least one of the other three guards in the 2014-15 rotation (Khalid at 6'3", DJ at 6'5", and Cleon at 6'6") will be on the court at the same time. cityofbasketballlove.com/2013/06/lewis-itching-to-make-an-impact/

Keep eye on Jarrod Stukes '17 5-5 PG entering LSCHS in September. Said to be high scoring PG. Will he grow 7-8 inches?
