Why do you say that. If Tony isn't qualified Marshall be a great option. He a guard that averages 15.3 PPG and an impact player just like Ramon. He a versatile player get rebounds, shares the ball and creates turnovers he even prefer to play as a PG. Although, he not a great three point shooter he still solid. He fast off the dribble and can create plays. However there is a slim ...slim shot we get him. I saw some temple fans tweeting about picking him up but we have a better shot getting him easily. He wants to play for a team that has a strong chance at the NCAA, Temple doesn't have that. We fit the bill in terms of area and the NCAA but I think he wants to stay in a major conference. Rumors are swirling about Maryland if so they could be the most dangerous team in the ACC next year. Article on Yahoo talks about all of this for the most part. Actually, Marshall would not be a great option for our team. We are set at guard - Duren, Mills, Garland, Lewis and Peterson. Why would anyone even think of bringing in another guard to play this upcoming season at at this point? Totally agree with kjmac - coach would have no interest in Marshall. Maybe a team that needs guards and has no guard depth like St. Joe's (but they are a middle of the pack A-10 team that really doesn't have a shot at the NCAA's this upcoming year) would be interested. But with our depth and talent at guard we have no need for Marshall. Coach recruited who he wants at this point. Perhaps I over exagerated a little bit. I just dont have that much confidence in Lewis and Peterson just yet so having an impact player be nice. Hopefully Garland performs big next year.

it's just never going to happen unless a super rich donor or two or three combine to drop $30 million on La Salle. To build a brand new 5k capacity arena/student rec facility in Philadelphia today would cost a minimum of $50-$60 million. La Salle could never justify spending that much on an athletic facility unless the vast majority of the cost was covered by private donations. Guys, I got this... Dear Mr Nutter and Mr Corbett,
La Salle would graciously accept a giant check with an equally giant number on it, much like how Rahm Emmanuel tossed DePaul a cool $300 million from taxpayers' wallets. And we're cool sharing the arena for some conventions and crap. I heard the Harlem Globe Trotters and the Ringling Bros. are tired of the Liacouras Center. Oh, and Nutter-Butter, there's a La Salle hat in it for you - God knows your ever-changing hat collection could use more La Salle.
Ps. Elephants at La Salle versus the Phila Public School System? No brainer.
Sincerely, La Salle University Your Homies From Olney 19141, Yo.Def cant turn that down. Send that out and a Garland postage stamp. A new arena def be nice but I do think they can make the Gola work have to see on the designs. Also regarding that guys decision which def should of been chosen. I am guessing that pointless driveway would have been the place where they blew out the wall. 6000 seats though I don't know seems a little much to me.

So, if I read this thread right, while Tony Washington was golfing he found out he hadn't qualified and decided to use 2013-14 as a redshirt to study the feasibility of flipping the court?

They dont need a vast amount of seats on the sides. I thought this was all about increasing seating, making this less of a high school gym? Isn't the gripe that we only seat 4k and change? No, make that 3200 and change. The fact that 35% of them go empty for most games is what frustrates me because we only charge $10 and $15, which compared to every other team in this city is bottom dollar. Facilities drives the price. The facility must pay for itself. Oftentimes this means bond deals and operating budgets that are funded based on future ticket revenue projections that MUST be met. St. Joe's learned...
