I'm spinning this thread off from what's been said many times in the recruiting threads as a question to the board.
With this current crop of players, we're obviously loaded at guard and G has made the 4 guard lineups work with much success. Reading quotes from recruits many guards are saying, "they play 4 guards" or some form of that statement as a positive for coming here. Going forward are we committed to playing this style as G has to recruit certain types and amounts of players to play the system he wants years in the future?
It's not like us playing a 4 guard lineup is like Syracuse playing the 2-3 zone where it's a entrenched as a staple of the program. So do we go all in and ride the 4 guard uptempo wave of success from this past year or does G try and move us back to a more traditional lineup?

Being that big men are so hard to come by at this level, I think it's a pretty good way to get the best 5 players in the court.

I think G has now defined us a program. I think he would like to play 3 guards and 2 bigs as a preference but we are always going to get more talented guards than bigs so I think we will always play 4 guards at times under G.
He has found success and will not need to change the formula.

I agree. G will never go back to a traditional 2 guard lineup. He will always have 3 guards on the floor and will play 4 when he has the right mismatches. The only small forward/wing type players he will even consider bringing in must have good enough guard skills to fill the role that DJ is currently filling.
