Figured I'd start a new thread on this instead of putting it at the bottom of the other recruiting thread. Today is the first day that coaches are allowed to call 2015 recruits, and La Salle has given out new offers to at least three of them. 6'4" guard Donte DiVincenzo from The Salesianum School in Delaware cityofbasketballlove.com/recruiting-profiles/donte-divincenco-g-2015/6'4" guard Levan "Shawn" Alston from The Haverford School cityofbasketballlove.com/recruiting-profiles/levan-alston-g-2015/6'8" PF/C Noah Dickerson from Lovett HS in Atlanta 2015 recruits who were reportedly offered by La Salle earlier this spring are: 6'8" Tim Delaney from Pitman (NJ) HS. 6'9" Moustapha Diagne from Pope John XXIII (NJ) HS 6'8" Earnest Aflakpui from Archibishop Carroll (PA) HS 6'1" Zachary Johnson from Norland HS in Miami (Cleon Roberts high school) 6'0" Traci Carter from Life Center Academy (NJ)

I really want Donte D. to come to La Salle just based on his name and that every program could use a scrawny kid with inexplicable red hair.

Donte is going to end up being the best HS Bball player in the history of Salesianum but this is Delaware and the level of competition game in and game out is not that impressive. I have seen him play about 8 times and look forward to the next couple of years.
He kind of reminds me of Trevor Cooney who played at Sanford Prep and is now at Syracuse.
The hair is amazing. How many red headed Italian basketball players are there?

One more thing about Donte....for the old guys...he kind of reminds me of Chris Ford.

G also formally offered 6'3" guard Samir Doughty yesterday and re-confirmed an offer to Traci Carter. Doughty played at Communications Tech last year but is transferring to Phila Electrical since CT is closing. No offers yet, but he made calls to 6'5" wing Sean Lloyd from The Haverford School and 6'6" wing Markus McDuffie from St Anthony's. cityofbasketballlove.com/2013/06/class-of-2015-recruiting-recap-june-15/

Am I right in assuming that Alston is the son of the former Temple guard?

Am I right in assuming that Alston is the son of the former Temple guard? Yes he is. Sean Lloyd is son of Philly Legend Lewis "Black Magic" Lloyd. Sean is a flat out big guard who can score. I have been told that Lloyd and Doughty are "natural born scorers". I know Lewis Lloyd could score. Saw him go for 50 one night.

I don't believe they've been offered yet, but a couple more 2015 recruits who got calls from La Salle this week were 6'3" shooting guard Drew Edwards from Calvert Hall HS in Baltimore and 6'5" wing Tyler Kohl from Life Center Academy in NJ.

Nice to see G is putting in bids for top 1000 type players, even though probability is rather low. For TJ for example:
La Salle's biggest plus may be its style of play, and the Florida pipeline to La Salle. A new arena committment could be a clinching argument for this caliber of player. (Any one listening in the administration? Keep getting that type of player and regular post season appearances in presently constructed A10 is a strong possibility, which would probably cover much of an arena's cost.

Would a player like this even see the new arena if they made that commitment tonight? That's no small project.

Just to avoid any confusion, Tadric Jackson, who on film looks like a phenomenal player, is a 2014 recruit.
