Kjmac some people are slow learners. Actually this is a great motivator for the squad who I believe will win between 25-27 games next season unless of course they go to the Sweet Sixteen which will up their total to 26-28. We will make the NCAA tourney mark it down.

I really like Harvard's team next season. They have a chance to be one of the best teams in Ivy League history.
But dare I say we'll be in the Top 25 at some point next season? A hot streak to start the season gets us there since sportswriters and SIDs will fondly recall our Sweet 16 run.

SD State and New Mexico were overranked teams last year and the media keeps overrating them.
SLU has a solid 5 but lack the two best players that were mainstays for the program. That and the lack of depth will make them more vulnerable than in years past.
Mass is good - I think Lalanne will have a breakout year -- but not better than us.
With Theus, Morgan and Mitchell gone, Reke and Garland will have an open door to prove they are the best backcourt duo in the conference. Why don't some of the "experts" realize this?

SLU will still be very good. Maybe even better than us. Keep in mind that Harvard has two starters returning who were suspended last year. They have some real talent. The only thing holding them back is the lack of a good coach. New Mexico will be okay, but I don't see them as top 25. SD State always underachieves. I don't get the love for UMass either. They have some good players, but Williams often plays out of control and can be contained by a good defensive team. I think we'll be good as long as everyone plays their role and doesn't try to do too much (my biggest concern is Garland thinking he might be the new "man"). We're going to need good perimeter shooting again and that's become a little more iffy with Galloway gone.

Just bear in mind that the Ivy League has had several Final Four teams The best Ivy team of my lifetime was the Princeton team that went 27-2 and finished at #8 in the country. The second best was probably the Cornell Sweet 16 team from a few seasons ago or the UPenn team with the Allen/Maloney back court. Harvard's team that got ranked was really good, too. I don't think Harvard will be as good as that Princeton team but they're returning and adding an absolute ton next season. I think they'll be in the Top 25 for most of the season.

I was two when Penn made the Final Four. The Princeton teams I only know about from reading Bill Bradley's autobiography as a kid.
