Its great to have college basketball back. Looking forward to this since the good fight against Minnesotta.
I think LaSalle should be able to beat Temple or SJU this year. I would also expect a win against Nova, it’s the big 5 we are due for a win against the Cats. If we finish middle of the pack I would be disappointed and have to blame the coach. I think they should finish in the Top 6.
I read the Daily News preview and I would expect more confidence from the Doctor. It seems like he is getting too caught up on informing the reader how good the rest of the league is and will use that as an excuse if the team struggles. I posted the piece that I found a little to cautious below.
Bottom line: This won't be easy and not because this team can't play. "You just want to take the next step," Giannini said. "The problem is not going to be our team. It's going to be that the league is really tough and someone has to lose. We're really going to work hard to make sure it's not us But there are very good teams in the league that are going to lose. That's why now conference wins should really help us and conference losses shouldn't hurt us. When you lose in this league, it's going to be to a good team."

It can be annoying when G starts talking about how good other teams in the league. He needs to focus on the Explorers and not spend so much time hyping the A10. This is the year he has to get it done... the NCAA Tournament.

We could be a better tweam than last year and still have less wins. That is reality.
A lot of pitfalls in the out of conference schedule that I think many are taking as gimme wins and the A-10 we know is going to be very tough.

Agreed, the A-10 is even more of a buzzsaw than in the past. It's going to be survival of the fittest just to make it to Brooklyn.

We all know about realities, but some of comments sound like a March post-mortem. Now is time for enthusiasm and a belief that others better get out of our way. We should believe that we can win the A-10 and any discounting of that at this point is just reflective of a very negative mentality.I don't get it. Gives me indigestion. Lets put this aside and focus on Sat. Del. is a good team.But, it is a home game and frankly, there is no reason to lose. Lets Go Explorers!!!
