Would Nova ever play is there? Maybe next season? Could we get 12,000 + for LS v Nova?
Also, wonder what happened to the poster behoops? Guy was the most respectable nova fan I ever saw and seemingly always had our back.

'nova can only play I think 4 games a year there, otherwise it gets designated as their home court, and they can't play NCAA Tourney games there. Since WFC has 1st and 2nd round games most years, Villanova usually makes sure they don't go over that limit.
Thus, those games are usually saved for Georgetown, Syracuse, Louisville, etc. I'd imagine 3 Big East games and 1 huge OOC game for them there next year.

OK, I'm a clown. WFC is not a tourneey site next year, so I guess it's possible. Still I would not count on it.

Not counting on it by any means- was just thinking that our road game is at their place next year and there aren't any NCAA implications for them playing there and we are coming off our best season on 20 years and reinvigorated our fan base.
I guess my real question is, could LS vs Nova draw more than 12-15k fans on a weekend to the WF center?

I'd say the chances of a La Salle - Nova game attracting 12 - 15K is somewhere be slim and none. We can't even fill Gola for most games.

I think we might attract 12,000, conceivably even a little more. Couple of reasons. We sold out the Palestra for St. Joe's and probably had to turn away some buyers. The sweet sixteen run did wonders fpr our image nationally and locally even with uneven support from local media. A Villanova - La Salle matchup at Wells Fargo Center would generate a decent response from non-alumni in the region and a bit of national attention.

I would rather beat them at their place for a true road win instead of a neutral site game.
Either way just win baby!

If it were for a share of the big 5 title, and if St Joe's continues to fall off the map, it could bring in 10k fans. But I don't think Nova wants to give up the Dupont lodge revenue that easily.

If we even need to debate if it would be sensible or if we could fill seats, there's no way they'd take a chance with the WFC. Only slam dunk matchups with sure shots of selling seats get that treatment.

I'm pretty sure every game Villanova plays at WFC is a nationally televised game too. That's not going to be the case for us.

Attendance would not be a problem for Nova and La Salle at WFC. We would bring a minimum 5K and Nova would easily bring 8-9K which would bring total of somewhere around 14k. If both teams look good and are both rated in top twenty five at time of game look for 15-16k Team is good now and when L Train played 4-5k was pretty much the norm for Civic Center when playing above average teams. I expect a spike in attendance this season of 25-30% based on end of last season and anticipation for this season.
