That was better than I expected it to, and I was expecting it to be pretty good. Phenomenal stuff right there.

Let me also add my congrats to the video staff. Great work all season. It never gets old seeing the reaction of the team and then the students on Selection Sunday.

Hopefully the staff will put together a season recap video, with player and coach interviews etc. Something similar to what the Phillies do in the off season. I would definitely purchase for myself, friends, and family.

The one thing this captures more than anything is how we were literally inches away from none of this happening. Consider:
1) Duren's shot against BU which, if it doesn't fall, keeps us out of the dance.
2) Duren's shot against Nova to tie the game and send it into OT. If that rims out, we're not in the dance.
3) If Roosevelt Jones' half-court bomb is about 1/2 an inch to the left, Butler steals the win and we're not in the dance.
In years past, we get absolutely zero of those breaks and they forever join the "What if..." questions we asked for two decades.
This was such an incredible year. These videos are the absolute best. The whole program, top-to-bottom, is something we should really appreciate because there are a lot of very talented people who get it.

Great refection on the communication dept. I think the bb page is best in A10 right now and the whole video coverage is a fantastic tool for attracting students and potential athletes as well. If that didn't capture the season and grab fans emotionally by the throat, I don't know what would.

My big concern for next year is how our guys deal with success. They will have a much bigger target on their back for every opponent they play, they will have a lot of people telling them how great they are and there will be a lot more butts in the seats on game day. It's not like there is a culture of this level of success where there are upperclassmen that have gone through it and can be ready for what is going to happen and get the rest of the guys prepared. This is new for everyone and I hope we can continue this kind of success.
Great points on how close we were to not making it, but you also have to consider that the game against UMass and CCSU didn't go our way so maybe if both of those did but the Butler game didn't we would still have been OK? I don't know
I really love the fact that this isn't some outsourced video project and it's something the school can really feel great about producing.

The current Comm dept is making it much tougher to make fun of the past Comm dept, like they're retroactively lending credibility or something. The only complaint I have, and its more "this would have been cool" than "how could they miss this", would be to have a quick pop-pop-pop montage of all 9 or 10 of Wright's FTs. Awesome (and shows their knowledge) that they got one in, but the whole string would have been even better.

I would definitely purchase for myself, friends, and family. This is a no-brainer in my opinion. Put together a 30,45, or 60 minute highlight DVD using only highlights filmed by Molly and the student interns who were doing the filming throughout the season. By using their own highlights, it eliminates the need to try and work out rights contracts with CBS/NBC/ESPN. Fill it in with short interviews with the coaches and players. Maybe ask a loyal alum like Raft or Legs to narrate it. Sell it for $25 and fill orders through GoExplorers. I'd be willing to bet they could sell as many as a couple thousand of them. That would be $50k in sales with the only outside costs being the burning of the DVD's and production of the case. The school could probably net at least $40-$45k when all is said and done which could be used for recruiting, etc.

I'm not sure they could sell a couple thousand but definitely a few hundred, maybe even 500. At $25 a pop it's still a worthy endeavor, plus you could put one in every recruiting packet out there
