Thanks for the info!
Scout has him at 6'1 165...which is an inch taller and 15lbs heavier than reported by NCSA Sports. Anytime you can get a starter at St. Anthony's is good and could hopefully lead to establishing some sort of recruiting pipeline.

Will be intersting to see if G has knocked this wall down like others he has knocked down.

There was something really interesting in Woj's awesome book about St. Anthony's. La Salle's name came up a few times. He attempted to steer at least one former player of his to La Salle via transfer.
He also absolutely hates Rollie. He kicked Rollie out of a recruits home once because he was such an arrogant twit.
I think the problem with us and St. Anthony's has just been luck. Their best players aren't coming to La Salle. They're high major kids to say the least. They also produce a lot of kids who have some academic issues (and not the fault of Hurley -- just the nature of an inner city school without a lot of resources) who end up JUCO or going to a NEC squad. I know they've produced mid-major talent (didn't someone end up at St. Joe's?) but there are a ton of schools like St. Peter's and Iona and those places close to Jersey.
We had a decent North Jersey pipeline w/ the Rodney class and the Williams Twins. But Paterson Catholic closed up shop and the St. Pat's coach moved on (and that school might end up closing, too).

There was a guard named Daryl Charles from St. A's that went to La Salle during Westhead days. Charles was a big time recruit who unfortunately didn't pan out. Don't recall the reason. He had big article in the press (maybe Sunday magazine from Inky)which ripped La Salle. Hurley said he would never send another player to La Salle. I know Speedy was good friends with Hurley so that bridge was repaired. Joe Mihalich and I were watching Matt Carroll play once and St. A was the next game. Joe said he needed to go over and "kiss the bishop's ring". They chatted for about 15 minutes.
La Salle has done well under G with the top North Jersey powers. I think with G it was we just weren't a fit for some players and them with us. We currently are also involved with St.A guard Cheddi Moseley. Not sure how hot this is however.
