Everyone gets all hyped about Chaz Williams like he's some sort of Allen Iverson clone, I totally don't get it and I think their coach gets tons of credit for nothing at all.
It will be tough to lose DJ and Ramon, but lets not act like there aren't kids coming in and as I stated before the 2012/13 season when the loss of Pettis looked like it would be tough to overcome, I think the impact of players improving and the new guys coming into the roster will outweigh, or at least keep balanced, the loss of those two guys. It was no fluke that we won 3 games in the tourney and I fail to understand how UMass' run in the NIT TWO seasons ago somehow still carries more weight than our bigger run in the NCAA tournament.
I think Jerrell and Steve will be substantially improved next year and we caught a glimpse of what Jerrell will be in the tournament, the kid was flat out dominant at times. Add the fact that he will be able to play more time as a traditional PF with Zack in the lineup again, I think Tyreek, Sam and Garland will have tremendous senior seasons and be supplemented by Khalid Lewis off the bench. We will also have some more Front Court depth that will allow Steve and Jerrel to be more aggressive and also get a little more in terms of regular breaks to really go hard while on the floor without running out of gas in the end of games/half
I'm more excited for next year than any season ever. It will be hard to top this year's NCAA run or even match it, but I think the regular season run will be a real treat and who knows, maybe we're on to some kind of run with success in the NCAA's and the Sweet 16 may not be an incredible feat. After all, we were so far down, the highs might be that much higher.

This is also Dick Vitale we're talking about here.
Still, we're a very good team.
Don't discount the "energy" surrounding the program now. We're going to have a crazy student section next year. So many alum are back, too.
I really want Cousin Bern Bobblehead Night to be a thing.

We went from seventh in the conference pre-season poll to sweet 16. We can overachieve again. Hey, at least we made the list! I didn't see St Lou. That was a slight!

Nothing against Harvard, but Harvard @ 34?

Dicky V left the Billikens off entirely - wow. Glad to see Boise State getting some love though, definitely a fan of them after we saw 'em. But can someone please explain all of this Harvard love? So they upset the Lobos in the first round, then got dismissed by Arizona quicker than Atlanta shuts down in a snow storm. They beat nobody of any weight during regular season play.

Tommy Amaker is a Duke guy, this the Harvard love
I really just can't get over the UMass love year in and year out all for Chaz Williams, yes, they beat us when we played our 2nd worst game of the season, but I was never impressed by them.
Whatever, if we can stay under the radar after the season we just had, we will always be under the radar

Harvard's team next year looks poised to be one of the best teams in Ivy League history. They bring back pretty much (or actually) everyone from this year's team and also return Kyle Casey (All-Ivy) and Brendan Curry (starting PG) who sat out a year because of academic violations. They also bring in two really well regarded recruits, including one kid who is a Top 75 player and turned down an offer from UCLA.
I think 34 is too low for Harvard, actually. They're more talented than their Top 25 team from a few years ago. I think they're as good as Cornell's Sweet 16 team, a lot of the good Princeton teams and the good UPenn teams.
They're nowhere near as good as the 97-98 Princeton team that ended the year ranked in the Top 10.

According to my sources, Amaker is a real snake when it comes to recruiting. As a result of that, and the value of the Harvard degree, he's got some good talent assembled. The question is, will he coach it to success next year? I doubt it. You could argue that the Lobo win was just ok, based on the fact that every team in that conference in the dance had an overly inflated RPI coming in and immediately sh!t the bed in the dance. Despite this and a coaching change, Dickie V still ranks the Lobos in the top 15 for next year, which shows that the guy is pretty worthless when it comes to real hoops analysis.

I think the #36 ranking in reasonable. At least he and some of the other early prognosticators are including La Salle. Still under the radar a little bit but that's not such a bad thing. I just want to be in the Coaches Poll again next April.
And St Louis not being on that list is ridiculous. They will be tough again next season with Evans, Loe, McCall, Jett, and a few other key players returning.

I'll take 36 any day. There are 68 teams (counting play ins) in the tournament. If you were to tell me that we would be 36 a few years ago I would have laughed my butt off at you. I think that's great, especially coming from a hack like Vitale.

I wouldn't doubt Umass. They are going to be good. i thought they were good last year and had a bad few games. They picked up a few real good recruits. Chas will be a senior who you may think is overrated but was one of the top players in the A10.
Saint Louis not on this list makes not sense. Jett has to be one of the most dynamic in the entire league. There still going to be good.
The A10 is going to be stacked next year, I honestly think the top teams will be VCU, La Salle, UMass, Saint Louis and Dayton. It is possible all of them could make tourney runs. Also think Saint Joes and GW could make some noise.

Will VCU, Saint Louis, and Dayton be moving conferences after the next year or so? If not all, seems like the A10 is quite strong and you have to question Temple's wisdom leaving it.
I wonder iff it's possible next year at some time there are 3 A10 teams in the top 25. Unlikely but not impossible.
