Sources confirm I once took a late night altercation right to the mouth. And deserved it.

I feel like "late night altercation" can mean anything you want and is a set phrase lifted directly from ESPN reporting. Doesn't everyone have some kind of "late night altercation" in college, if we define it broadly enough? Oh, entirely. Most of college was a late night altercation by those terms. I just didn't know if something particularly notable occurred. CoachD probably has some insider knowledge here too - he's going to tell everyone Dj's transferring to NASA to become an astronaut. BUT he promised he sources not to tell.

Peterson was involved in a fight at a party one quick punch and he was on the floor, from what I heard.

All I know is that Peterson was in a fight and thrown out of the house

All I know is that Peterson was in a fight and thrown out of the house I shouldn't have asked. Getting thrown out of a house party did not prompt him to transfer schools. I thought you may have been alluding you knew of something much, much bigger. If college athletes transferred every time there an a "late night incident"...

I'm not going to have this kind of speculation going on. I'm not saying the poster is making things up, but he's unlikely to be able to produce any proof about the alleged incident, so I would appreciate it if this particular aspect of the discussion was dropped.
Thanks.

With Dj leaving, do you think G will move to a two-bigs lineup to balance his absence? I'd almost like to see the 4 guard look become our hallmark. I get there's a reason why many teams don't play it, and it has its obvious weaknesses, you live and die by extremes in all facets. But I think the uniqueness is unparalleled and can give us great match up advantages, and might help us maximize our ceiling of mid-major recruiting possibilities in the future.

Losing DJ is going to really limit the ability of G to play the 4 guard lineup which is unfortunate. Even though it creates problems on the boards, it really was a big part of this teams success in the NCAA tournament. None of the other guards are big and long enough to cover the opposing swingmen and small forwards like DJ was. I think Rohan could do a good job defensively, but offensively, he just doesn't have DJ's ability to shoot, pass, and dribble, at least not yet. Opposing teams had to pay attention to DJ because he could burn them from deep. Unless Rohan can become consistent from beyond the arc, teams will back off of him and will focus on keeping the other guards from getting into the lane which will really hurt the team's ability to get open looks from the perimeter.

Sorry to see him go. Quality person and dependable player. I totally buy the remarks in the article form G. I do not buy some of the ridiculous comments about other motives and expendablity. If you were at the banquet, you would have heard G talk at length about the value of DJ's dependability. I see homesicknees as a big factor. You work out in the summer, go to summer school and are a long way from home 11 plus months out of a year and it can take a toll when home seems like a distant memory. Sorry to see him go, but he will be welcomed in many places, and who knows, maybe there's a hardship waiver circumstance that will allow him to play right away. 23won, No ones questioning DJ's dependibility, contributions and behavior "late night altercations". We understand that he's homesick, enough said. I want La Salle to be able to compete outside of a mid-major conference and not shiver in my boots hoping we don't get blown out if we ever play a Kansas, Louisville, or Michigan. Boom! " I do not buy some of the ridiculous comments about other motives and expendablity." ~23won~ BTW 23won, never forget "everyone is expendable, including you" and that applies to life period. Examples lol... If Brother Michael J. McGinniss, F.S.C., Ph.D., don't make arrangements for our glorified gym (Tom Gola Arena) improvement, it will be tougher to lure 4 & 5 star recruits. If, you don't take your girl out to eat, you will be replaced with new meat. LOL If you don't do your job at work and keep talking on the message board, you will be replaced with mediocrity. I think you catch my drift by now, but feel free to add, for humor sake. This is making me laugh.

Good points KJMAC. We lose a valuable piece here. This stinks.

The only thing Okayplayer has done since he signed up for this board is talk smack specifically on DJ. I've tried to disregard his 8 posts and only thread. He's the only person to talk down about any player's role in the tourney. now here comes cousinbern getting pwned for saying he saw, err heard, err made something up? You guys are so silly. moving on.
Good Luck DJ. Thanks for the contribution and I'll be following your progress the next two years. Tell pitino's son congrats on the new gig.
