As reported on zagsblog.com. Fordham just signed Jon Severe, New York's "Mr. Basketball". He picked Fordham over Pitt, West Virginia, Wake Forest and Rutgers among many others. This gives real cache to the A-10. Fordham, along with Iona, will be strong next year. Note the comment by a recruiting analyst who thought that Severe was "undersized" as a 2 guard at 6'2".

I don't see Fordham being strong next year. I agree it is a great signing for Fordham and their future is brighter but they have a long way to go still.
I wish more kids blazed their own path and listened to those with good advice like Severe. We would have less Jaylen Bond's and Aaron Brown's out there wasting year's of eligibility.

Am I missing something? I'm in agreement, I think he is an undersized 2 at 6'2...

you forget fordham, duquesne and st bona are in the ny, pittsburgh and buffalo markets. duquesne and st bona were huge in the 60s and early 70s, fordham had one run with the yelverton team. so its not like they have never been good. the problem maybe is that they are still playing in the same gyms from the 60s, rose hill, the o'reilly center and palumbo. i don't know if that has anything to do with it but these schools have potential because of the markets they are in. so if fordham got a good player maybe that will be the start of a trend.
