Don't have a link . I am on the road. He is the 6"10 shot blocker we need.
G continues to get it done.

Great job with Washington, Lewis, Roberts and Stukes. Man is a flat out great recruiter and has set team up for continued success for the future. Question is will Tony be red shirted or we he play next season. That should conclude recruiting for this season now on to the early signing period in Nov/13.

Tony averaged 12 points and 8 rebounds per game his senior season and looks athletic in highlight reel. He looks like a very coordinated player for his size and seems to get off the floor quickly.

He had 8 blocks and 13 rebounds this year against Vaux in a game that Miller won. A lot of double figure rebound games. Very interesting.

I'll be frank and say I don't know too much about Washington, but all these double figure rebound games are giving me happy pants.

Watching the video on T.Washington he reminds me of a former A10 player named Marcus Camby. No I didn't say he was as good as Camby just that he reminds me of him while dunking and blocking shots. Now if he becomes three quarters as good as Camby we have a very good player.

How many players can we redshirt in a year? Stukes and Washington both?

How many players can we redshirt in a year? Stukes and Washington both? I mean.. You need to fill 200 mins per game.. And we have a versatile lineup to either go two traditional bigs or go small with Peterson at the 4.. Duren and Mills are logging at least 30 mins per game Garland is at least 25 mins Lewis all the rest (probably 15-20 mins) Peterson swinging between the 3-4 will get 15-20 mins Wright will get at least 20 mins Zack will get at least 20 mins Davis will probably get between 10-15 mins That is 195 mins... Heck Duren will probably be closer to 35 minutes and Wright or Zack (whoever isnt in foul trouble) will get at least 25 mins, probably closer to 30 mins So there is 200 mins filled per game.. Dunn is also there for last minute breathers..

Welcome about Tony!
Our four newcomers this year all have very cool names, led by Cleon.

I like him!!!! He is fluid and smooth and can catch the ball. My gut is that they will red shirt him and I am fine with that. We now have 3 guys that can play all season with our current sweet 16 team and learn the system and what it takes to win college. G told me his first year he wants to get good AND stay good. I am excited about next years team AND BEYOND!!!!!!!!!!! Nice to have a coach that just doesnt stop recruiting.

Jerell and Steve as seniors, Davis and then this kid? We'll have scary depth for once.

Certainly profiles as the exact type of player we need. Nice way to round out the class.

An interesting note about this signing-even though there is little info on him and no big ratings, his team mate, Copeland was a 4* and had almost identical stats for the year. Copeland, who wound up at Georgetown, scored 14ppg,had 8.2rbs pg and slightly fewer blocked shots. I can't believe that they didn't have a better record. That must be one tough league. By the way, we never tried to recruit Copeland.

Copeland must be No. 11 because he looked very good. T.Washington may be a bit of a project but he looks like aa athletic player with solid skills. Trust in G.

He seems to move very well for someone of his height. I'd like to see him put on about 30-40 pounds of muscle but college conditioning can work wonders.

Yeah, I'm basing my positive thoughts entirely on height + seeming athleticism. Seems like a perfect fit in a quick 3 guard offense.

30-40lbs of muscle isn't possible in 4 years; he puts on 30-40lbs, only 10lbs of that will be muscle

Copeland is a 2014 early commit to Georgetown and is ranked 35th in the 2014 Rivals Top 150. He projects to be a small forward in college. Looks to be much more skilled than Washington but that's okay. Washington fits the mold of what G wants in his big men. Plays 10 feet and in and doesn't waste time floating around the perimeter. I remember seeing online somewhere that Washington was from Detroit, but I was told at the banquet that he is actually from Greenville, South Carolina. He played with a South Carolina-based AAU program (Carolina Cougars). www.millerbasketball.com/roster/tony-washington/

Can we do wrestling-style walkout music for him? Warning, you're going to either hate this or have it stuck in your held all day. I know at the least our admin will approve

On a more serious note, well done by G. Love getting some more size and would be nice to have block potential when teams drive the lane on us. Last player I feel like was a real threat to get a block was Fadipe and he usually fouled while going for the block anyway.

Yup, and this type of player is so much fun to watch. Probably the reason I'm liking the current UMass roster so much and pretty cool to know we have one coming in.
