I read that Aaron Brown is tranferring from WVU. He's a local guy I believe. Would G have any interest in him? Was he any good in HS?

I have no idea about this kid but ohhhhhhh the lovely irony of a WV kid coming here.

Absolutely not interested. He plays hard but have very limited skills. G wants guards that dribble, pass, and shoot and Brown is not good at any IMO.
I saw him in high school at least a dozen times and I am still waiting for him to make a shot outside 10 feet.
I can't see G pursuing him.

Shot 39-percent from deep as a freshman with 64 attempts.
He isn't going to play next year, so I think Giannini goes after him. Duren, Mills and Garland will all be gone and you'll have a kid with two years under his belt plus an extra to learn how to play at La Salle.
I think Dunphy stays away because of the trouble he had with another WVU transfer getting playing time and being effective.

How many scholarships do we have left again?

How many scholarships do we have left again? There are 2 scholarships open for the 2013 class. One to a big man, and the other to an impact transfer, either a guard or big man.

I don't think it's a coincidence that we jettisoned a talented player 2 years ago and were in the NIT and Sweet 16 the two years after that and WVU was in the Final 4 a few years ago and fell apart 2 years later.
I can only imagine what our locker room was like in February of 2011.

KJ, thanks for posting. WOW! I wonder if our guy was one of the prima donnas? Just guessing , but as they teach in Psych 101, past behavior is the best predicator of future behavior. Gnocchi nailed it when (he/she) mentioned elsewhere nice swap, Ramon Galloway for Aaric Murray.Needless to say, Ramon's talent plus his maturity immeasurably contributed to this years success.

Karma.
There's no accident Murray ended up at WVU with Billy Hahn as the assistant coach. He was licking his chops at turning Murray into an All-American and sticking it in the face of a school he, as of the last time anyone interviewed him about the subject, still blames for the fact he can't get a head coaching job.
WOOOOPS!
Billy Hahn was the absolute worst. Hiring him set our program back for years. If we went to Dr. G right from Speedy, it wouldn't have taken this long. I don't know if G was ready or not (I forget who else was a candidate after Speedy's departure) but Hahn is human garbage who wasn't even all that good of a coach.
Screw that guy to no end.

It wouldn't shock me at all if Murray was one of the players that the WVU kid was referring to in that article. He did mention that the players were sat for some games. I believe Murray was benched a time or two was he not? Staten could well be the other prima donna. He wanted to be "the show" at Dayton. Thank god G tossed him.

Billy Hahn did let LaSalle know what it needed to do to be one competitive. LaSalle wanted him to work with what they had. He refused . He made them build( Stuts candy owner did it for him) offices and get a media room. He said you have to have a place to take recruits and their families to meet with and impress them. He did recruit well. He was not a good X and O guy but we were all saying that about G just last year. With that said I would rather have G and we need to continue to help him.
