Only way we get ranked is if we go undefeated in the first 10 games. Once you get ranked you can stay there if you get beat. We won't get there with any early losses. You gotta win. Butler wins the big games and gets the respect. We have got to win the early games. Also, is next years team going to be better?

The Paradise Jam next year will also include Vanderbilt and Providence as top 6 conference programs.. Here's the full field: La Salle, Maryland, Providence, Vanderbilt, Northern Iowa, Loyola Marymount, Marist, Morgan State. www.paradisejam.com/More than likely, La Salle will be the Paradise Jam #1 seed (they usually seed by the previous year's RPI) and will play two of the three BCS schools as long as they win the first two games. Then you have four more BCS games (at Miami, at Villanova, at Penn State, and Temple at Gola) on the OOC schedule. I think at most there will be one more BCS school added to the schedule. Siena and Hartford also come to Gola. As of a month or two ago, there were still 4 games left to schedule. Jon Rothstein tweeted a few days ago that Manhattan will be coming to Gola Arena this coming season. Manhattan had a 185 RPI last season but look to be one of the top teams in the MAAC next season as they return a lot and add a BCS big man transfer. They should end up with a lot of wins and a solid RPI. That leaves 3 more games left which may or may not have been scheduled already. In past years, they've given out preliminary schedule info at the post-season banquet so maybe we'll find out more tonight.

It was announced yesterday that Maryland will lose their big man Alex Len to the NBA draft. It's a good/bad deal for us...it makes them more beatable but make a win against them less meaningful.

even though we've clawed our way back to relevancy, people wills till weight the name on the front of the jersey more than the actual quality of the opponent and it will make it a tough go at La Salle forever. Beat a good Manhattan team at home and people will just shrug and say, well you should beat them; beat a down Maryland team in a tourney and people will go bananas.

Manhattan? Yawn. Let's hope the rest of the schedule is more inspiring. Playing Manhattan would be like Central Connecticut State, a win does nothing and impresses no one, a loss is embarassing.

Can some one help me out? Lunardi indicates 4 Atlantic 10 team in bracket - St Louis (10), VCU (9) and Explorers (8). Don't find fourth team unless he's imagining Xavier as a play-in 12.

Maybe he didn't proof read his article?
Seriously, I was thinking we would be an 8th or 9th seed in either Buffalo or Raleigh. Have to say it would be a helluva time in Raleigh playing Georgetown and Duke.

X is the last 4 in.
He doesn't have a Patriot league team in there...
Take it for what it's worth, but more people care about this than you could possibly imagine (just look at the comments below the article). Again, it doesn't mean anything but I'd rather have the press than not have the press. Name recognition baby...
