Thanks for above information. Perhaps G will use one scholarship this year and use 4 for a big year 2014-2015, given next year will be heavily Juniors and Seniors and he could build off this nyear's team.

I like both Bonds and Goodman game with both being 6-5 to 6-6 range with similar game. Problem both have is they don't have great ball handling skills for certain type of game but that said would fit great in A10 type conference.

I think this win helps even a little more with recruiting ;-)

Maybe a late phone call to John Severe up in NY would be nice... A quick 6'1 guard that can score... Very similar to Garland expect, Severe is a better shooter from distance..
I already mentioned if we would give a phone call to Jordan.. We might as well phone Jared Sina.. A sniper.. The type of scorer that could thrive in our system.. He could just sit behind the line and drill the kick outs as a freshman..
But hey it is nice to dream.. Because I am LOVING my dream right now

Does Cousin Bern have any eligibility left?

Justin Seymore, who was recruited by G last year, is transferring out of Utah. 6'3' combo- no schools mentioned. He is from Ga.

I heard cousin Bern is a rock solid seven footer, and can stroke 3 pointers all day. G should pursue, he's from the southwest.

It's tough to gauge Seymour based on the situation in Utah. They were extremely deep in the 2/3 slots. One game he'd put in 26 minutes, the next he'd be lucky to break 5 minutes. From the sound of it, Seymour might not be the last to jump ship from Utah this year either.

Is Jared Sina a legitimate possibility? Verbal commits changed him from no interest to medium with his de-commitment from Northwestern... a lot of good programs are in on this guy, do we have any chance? Is the the recruit we grab due to this magical run?!

Sina is only considering Seton Hall, Alabama, and Northwestern.

Sina is only considering Seton Hall, Alabama, and Northwestern. That is one crazy mix of schools. I have to imagine that he really bonded with the recruiters from those schools.

To me the misfit is Alabama. Seton Hall is the local school, Northwestern the academic school, and Alabama he must have picked out of hat or mistaken it for Bama football...

Disappointing to hear to say the least..
We are better than all 3 of those programs this year and next year..
Also he would play a big role next year and would be facilitated like no other to score..
But it looks like he wants to go Power Conference with a losing program

To me the misfit is Alabama. Seton Hall is the local school, Northwestern the academic school, and Alabama he must have picked out of hat or mistaken it for Bama football... Sina originally committed to Alabama during his junior year. He has a long-standing relationship with their coaching staff. I've seen him play a couple times. Nice player, but IMO, he's overrated and his foot speed is suspect. And also, his name is Jaren, not Jared. Everyone can dream all they want, but Jordan isn't going to reopen his recruitment and it is highly unlikely G would try and get involved with Sina again. He tried after Sina backed out of his Alabama committment but that was before he signed Amar Stukes. If G brings in another guard in the 2013 class, it will most likely be a transfer who has to sit a year.

Like Justin Seymour, perhaps? He is leaving Utah... Not going to happen IMO. Justin Seymour was scheduled to visit La Salle two weeks after he visited Utah and ended up committing to Utah after his visit. At the time G liked other guards better and I suspect Seymour didn't change his mind after his initial season at Utah.

Yah, and G will have much better recruits to choose from after this great tourney run that is still going!

Nice... Stukes article for 2 days ago from the Classic Courtesy of COBL: "Game One: The way Amar Stukes has been playing this year, it’s going to be tough for John Giannini to keep him off the court at La Salle in the fall. Stukes scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Conshy Warriors to a 89-72 victory over the Old School Cavaliers.
The plan is for Stukes to redshirt the 2013-14 season with as much depth at guard as the Explorers have, but it certainly looks like they’re getting quite a capable scorer the following year when Stukes takes over the point guard duties from rising senior Tyreek Duren.
Stukes’ La Salle College High School teammate Steven Smith, headed to Fairfield in the fall, had a great all-around game with 14 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks. Roman Catholic junior Rashann London also added 14 for the Warriors. Starting center Mike McGlinchey added nine points and four rebounds while Bishop McDevitt forward Tyrell Long had a good game off the bench with eight points, seven rebounds, four steals and two blocks.
It was a tougher-than-expected game for Conshy, who played without Notre Dame-bound guard Steve Vasturia (wisdom teeth). Fels senior guard Danil Mateo had 18 points to pace the Cavaliers, who consisted mainly of players from the Public League. Lamar Stevens, a 6-foot-6 freshman from Abington Friends and one of the few non-Public League players on Old School, had 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Conshy stretched a 43-38 halftime lead into a 54-40 advantage to open the second half, but a 11-0 run by Old School threatened a lead that Conshy had heled all game. Three 3-pointers by London helped re-open the lead for Conshy, who closed the game on a 22-9 run."cityofbasketballlove.com/2013/04/donofrio-classic-recap-april-10-2013/

Nice replacement for Ty. Solid 4 year starter at the point. If G can keep it up we can have another run with the new class.

Amar Stukes looks more and more like a total steal by the second.
