Since I’ve enjoyed this board in recent weeks, could I interest you in the final edition of power rankings, and some POY, ROY, DPOY and all-conference choices? As always, let me know where I’m going wrong. The awards discussion in particular should be interesting. The top five in the power rankings are really tight, and I felt bad moving La Salle down this week, but several of you told me you thought Butler would win if they played on a neutral court, and I took that into consideration. I still love La Salle, trust me. Personal soft spot. Rankings here: www.indysportslegends.com/2013/03/12/atlantic-10-power-rankings-billikens-end-on-top/
And awards here: www.indysportslegends.com/2013/03/11/butler-notebook-passing-out-atlantic-10-awards/
On behalf of everyone at ISL, I sincerely thank
you for reading this season. This conference has wonderful fans at every institution, and if this is my only season covering the A-10, what with Butler apparently leaving so soon, you all helped to make it memorable. I wish the Explorers all the luck in the future. As Sinatra said, the best is yet to come. Chris Goff Butler beat writer, IndySportsLegends.com

Others would know better, but Ramon 5th in A-10 POY rankings seems too low.

Not for nothing, but I think Chaz Williams is wildly overrated. He has great games and terrible games, and they somehow average out to good numbers. I know he hit the game-winner against La Salle, but he was held to 6 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.
Also, if Ramon was fifth in Player of the Year voting, how is he the 9th best player in the league? (I'm assuming the teams were ranked in order of votes?)

I think the only player better in the A-10 this year is Khalif. He's unreal and has singlehandedly carried Temple to a NCAA bid.

I prefer to not focus on this stuff until after the season is over. Wyatt was also on the court with home losses to Duquesne and Canisius and is not that great defensively. I don't know who is most valuable or A10 first team until after the A10 Tourney is over.
