Temple still has to knock off vcu for us to win a championship if X wins

I get nervous about playing for a championship- last time we had a shot to win a championship we looked like garbage I think our team felt they were the favorite to win the big 5. We were riding high after the SJU win. I would much rather be the underdog in a championship game, which we would clearly be in St. Louis.

I want us to get as much championship game practice as possible.. so that we're fully prepared for Atlanta!!

And we have to beat St. Louis on the road. Like I said, helps a lot if we win, hurts a lot if we lose.

The benefit of being the 4 and butler being the 5 is that if we do lose our first game in brooklyn - it wouldn't be a bad loss by any stretch. Just one benefit of that.

Assuming high seeds win in Brooklyn in the first round, who is our most ideal second round matchup? UMASS? St. Joe's?

So if Xavier wins here, we beat St. Louis and VCU beats Temple we are the one seed correct?

It can hurt in that this all but guarantees that with a loss, we'll be playing Temple, Butler, or Xavier on Friday. That's what i meant.

"It's not going to be an way game against La Salle"
According to these announcers
We also are fighting for a spot according to them, not sure this guy has the standings in front of him

Reading the SLU message board, most of them seem like a bunch of pompous asses. Let's beat em Saturday.

La Salle is alive for the Atlantic 10 championship heading into the final weekend of the season. Not bad, eh? Can't really argue with this at all. SLU lost at home to a URI team that lost at SJU by 40 tonight. Miami lost at home to an awful GA tech team tonight. There's no reason we can't have a chance to win. This team has shown that when it gets hot, it stays hot for 4 or 5 games- this is two games being red hot offensively, here's hope for a few more

Its been an any given night type of year for the A10. A couple of gimmes, but that's it. Its a measuring stick.. if we want to be in the tournament and win in the tournament, we have to be able to be competitive in these situations. @slu isn't any more worrisome to me than @vcu was. We've risen to the challenge all year sans the Temple game. I fully expect a dogfight Saturday, especially now that we have the added motivation of a potential A10 title, too.
