Seeing Rodney Green and Steven Smith on that list just makes me cringe thinking about the missed opportunities we had when they were playing here

He was a better college player than Rasual Butler was IMO. Randy Woods and Donnie Carr are a push. I loved both of them.

Correct me if I am wrong but Townes didn't leave early. He was a prop 48 and therefore only had 3 years of eligibility.

I found nothing on the Prop 48, but did see that he was in the draft for that year. I'll correct. Thanks.

Joe, I sent Aaron a note about this. First, not sure that is Rasual in that picture. Doesn't really look like him. Also, I believe Kareem is out. Rasual tweeted something a few weeks back about going to work out with him and someone else. Might want to double-check that.

You know, I saw that too, but if he did the full 10 year mandatory sentence, he should still be there. I took it out anyway.
Butler was 45, right...I think that is him.

The top 5 have to be: 1. Lionel - National POY. 3K scorer. NBA talent. 2. Rasual - 2K scorer and good rebounder. NBA talent. 3. Smith (2-time A10 Player of the Year). Appeared in NBA but could not stick. 4. Overton - Very good unselfish guard. NBA talent. 5. Woods - Very good scorer. NBA talent.
6. Carr - great scorer. Did not make NBA 7. Townes - great scorer. Did not make NBA 8. Legler - made himself great 3 point shooter. Made NBA through persistence. 9. Green - not a point guard. Did not make NBA

My five: Lionel, Doug, Randy, Kareem and Rasual
Donnie played hard, but he never did anything to approach Randy's 1991-92 season. 27 points, 6 rebounds 5 assists and 2 steals per game, not to mention 33 points in an NCAA Tournament near-upset. When he had it going, no one was ever more fun to watch, either. If not for his "rust" in 1989-90, that would have been a Final Four team.
