I haven’t paid much attention, but when I read today that we lost a bunch of our key guys from last year to the transfer portal, I didn’t expect much. So far I’m pleasantly surprised. And the place looks great.

1st half shooting...meh Good solid D. Only 2 turnovers. Mac is a presence on the boards and on D. Overall...pretty good half against an American team that is pretty good defensively. Zan had both turnovers in just 5 minutes. So no turnovers in the other 95 minutes combined for our guys. Very nice

Nice 1st half for us 30-18. Offensive little shaky early, but warming up at the end of the half. Defense playing tough early and aggressive on the board. White (9 pts) and Shepherd (4 pts) playing well and Fasasi ( 5 pts & 4 reb.) look great coming off the bench. Let play well in the 2nd half to get our 1st win of the new season.

Corey McKeithan has been terrific tonight. One of the least talked about players on the board.

A very physical La Salle team out there tonight. Wasn’t pretty at times but got the job done. Lotta bodies flying around on that new floor.

Solid effort on defense.
Offense needs some work but I would expect that to get better and better.
Arena was a smash hit. All in all, a good night.

Solid effort on defense. Offense needs some work but I would expect that to get better and better. Arena was a smash hit. All in all, a good night. Yeah agreed.. Offense needs to figure out what style they want… They have the speed in backcourt that if teams want to spread out their defense that Jones and Corey could do some damage. Corey’s perimeter was very encouraging. White playing against less athletic power forwards could be a big benefit for La Salle against lesser schools like American…

Defense was outstanding, nice to FINALLY have legit, tough big men in Lilley and Etienne, team is much bigger. McKeithan plays with such poise. White is a baller. Very encouraged.

Great win tonight against American U. 65-52. Offense was shaky at the beginning, but got hot at the end of the game. Defense was excellent and that might be our calling card. White (15 pts & 6 reb) was a beast on both sides of the ball. Mckeithan (16 pts, 2 reb & 3 assists) was great and ran the offense well. Well, the new bench mob of Fasasi (7 pts & 4 reb.), Jones (6 pts & 5 reb) and McEtienne (8 reb.) played great coming off the bench. My armchair coach player of the game go to the late John Glaser. Without his dedication and love for LaSalle basketball, this beautiful arena in his name would never existed without his donation. Let make him happy and win Saturday baby. Let get it baby.

Is it me or does espn plus not show the shot clock? It wasn’t on the main scoreboard at all, so that is maybe why?

Legitimate question: How does the official box score not include the attendance or the officials?

explorer88 : Kale Beers mentioned at halftime of ESPN+ broadcast that Acker will not be eligible to play until after this current Semester ( i.e., at or near end of OOC schedule ).

The fact that we had 5 new guys on the floor that never played with each other, and committed only 7 turnovers in 40 minutes, says alot about this coaching staff. And no player committed more than 2 fouls (which made the game even MORE enjoyable to watch...refs let them play). This WON'T be the case every game, but the team came out prepared.
With Corey and Deuce on the floor, I don't think the team missed a beat with the departure of the Killer B's. Deuce seemed a bit anxious with his shot selection, but he'll settle down. Kid plays some tough D though as does Corey. They both take care of the ball.
Lafayette, Cornell and Drexel next up. All competitive teams, and it'll give Fran an opportunity to experiment a bit with the lineup. Will be interesting to see where we are at after 4 games.
