Just got back from the meet your seat event. Got to see about 15 minutes of an intra squad scrimmage. Might be able to go 10 deep this year. McKeithan, Marrero,Acker and Jones will be competing for guard minutes and Shep, White, Tunde and Zan were rotating at forward. Meech and Etienne look to be our bigs. Will be interesting to see who starts against American and how Dunphy spreads the minutes. Will he play 10 guys?

He probably plays 10 to start the season but it is in our best interest if that is paired down to 7 or 8 by the end of the season.
We really need 7 to 8 guys to separate themselves.

Also met my seat. Still some work to complete but overall a great job on the arena. Practice and scrimmages always look like they can go 10 deep because 10 are playing and nobody is separating themselves from the pack. Did note that Ramos-Sanchez had an arm in a sling. Etienne and Mercandino did not participate while I was there giving Milos some run as the second big. Liked what I saw of Lilley. Not a low post, back em down type of player. Moves well and he hit a three. Acker is longer and quicker than I expected. McKeithan is smaller. Andres had the ball in his hands and looked to create his shot rather than coming off screens or waiting at the 3 pt line. After the practice, White came up in the stands and introduced himself and shook hands with everyone there. Seems very mature and probably will be a leader on this team. Tunde stayed on the court and shot threes. He may still be there for all I know. Dunphy said something about the importance of free throws and the end of games and mentioned that it was a problem last Saturday. Did they have a scrimmage with someone other than Md.? For what it is worth, my prediction for a starting lineup would be Mererro, Acker, Shep. White and Lilley.

spoke to someone a couple days ago who attended a glaser arena donor event last monday and was told this:
1) dunph mentioned they had scrimmaged princeton (on the day the bogus maryland scrimmage supposedly happened). princeton went up big early, la salle got it close by halftime, and then la salle won the second half. he said he was encouraged that the team did not hang their heads after falling behind and kept plugging. no word on who they scrimmaged this past weekend.
2) dunph mentioned he was pleased with how well the team as a whole has been shooting the ball.
3) the team did some mini-scrimmages. really liked acker and deuce. biggest surprise to him was mac etienne. said he looks healthy, was active on the boards, great hands and a good passer. didn't look to score much. thinks we are much improved up front with lilley, etienne, tunde, and zan with shep and white playing the swing positions. feels they can go 10 deep if needed.

If the Princeton scrimmage was played right after the Maryland scrimmage, kinda makes sense we got behind early.
