Had Schertz on his podcast
He predicts La Salle 14 out of 15 - Fordham as 15. The Joe’s at 3rd
Say what you want but Rothstein does do his homework. Hopefully his predictions are off

This is why I was doom and gloom during the portal period. La Salle is going to be a cellar dweller as long as it's turning over 5 or 6 players per season.

The possibility a Fran Dunphy team finishes 14 out of 15 is.......0%.

Rated 14th but also placed 15th with a 6-12 A10 record with two of the wins being a coin flip so more realistically, 5-13.

collegehoopstoday.net/rothstein-files/atlantic-10-offseason-breakdown-5/i didn't waste much time looking at the entire thing, but he certainly didn't do his homework on la salle. i guess he got bored as he worked his way down the list. shows walk-ons jason umosella and jay joseph as key newcomers. joseph was on the team last year. has mercandino, kovacevic and umosella in the rotation.

These assessments do not mean much to me for many of the reasons stated here. This roster is certainly not star studded but seems to me it is pretty deep, a lot of seasoned guys have been assembled. With the good coach we have I am expecting a shot at being a mid pack A10 team and no worse than last year.

With the good coach we have I am expecting a shot at being a mid pack A10 team and no worse than last year. we'll miss the guys who left but the staff did a good job of replacing them and like you said, the team has gotten deeper. assuming the etienne rumor is true, this team can go 10 deep if the staff chooses. the other upside is that shep, tunde and ryan should not have to defend guys 4-5 inches taller and 40 lbs heavier than them on the low block for extended periods.

Has dunphy ever used a 10-player rotation?

Has dunphy ever used a 10-player rotation? last year, eight guys averaged double figure minutes but i'm sure if he had a true back up center, it would have been nine. in 2022-23, ten guys averaged double figure minutes. the ninth and tenth players (mamadou and andres) averaged 12 and 10 minutes so i'm not sure whether they'd be considered part of the rotation but imo, they were. both helped the team win some games.
