Even money he gets through the year.

Pinning his hopes on a 3rd team All-A10 guard to fix their problems seems to be a bit of a stretch. Throwing the roster under the bus is crazy. I watched several Nova games last year where coaching decisions and bad clock management cost them the game. It was like he channeled a combination of Ash and Eagles-era Andy Reid in late game situations.

Even money he gets through the year. I'd take this that he makes it through.

Even money he gets through the year. I'd take this that he makes it through. If they are looking like a non-tourney team again going into the conference schedule, the calls for his head will just get louder.

Sure, I just don't think they'd pull the trigger if it even gets to that point. After the season, sure.

Even money he gets through the year. It would have to be a complete and utter train wreck for that to happen. And by that I mean they would have to be something like 3-12 mid-season and a few players (starters) have quit the team. It's highly unusual for a coach to be fired mid-season. It happens, but rarely,

You'd also have to have an assistant completely willing to be a caretaker or you risk/assume you're losing the temp that doesn't get hired.

Somebody like Howard? (He beat Dayton, twice.) There would be a riot at Nova if they replaced a mediocre coach with a much worse coach, even temporarily. Note: I just saw that this was my 5,000th post on the board and it had to be about Vilanausea?

My son is at Nova's Hoops Mania tonight and sent me some videos. One was of the crowd booing Neptune. Another was a video of Brickus being introduced to lots of cheers.
