I got them confused with sweetness's old school, and Deion's last coaching stop.

Pembrook Burrows & Artis Gilmore....the other Jacksonville. The mighty 1998 La Salle Explorer football team traveled to Jacksonville my first season. What a memorable trip - Ed McMahon on our plane, our budget covering 3 athletes to a room with 2 queens, the hotel complex thinking we were crazy for swimming when it was 75 degrees out, and we may have even played a game.

Tosh used to run intramurals after he graduated.

I was in TKE. I don't even know if they exist (like most frats at La Salle) anymore.

I remember hearing something about it at the time, but the exact date escapes me. I was one of the founders of the Sigma Phi Epsilon chapter. They've managed to survive somehow.

I feel like TKE was perpetually on some final probation back when I was in school but I never knew why. Can’t speak to the collective but, individually, all the guys I knew were good dudes.

I believe FIJI is also done. We died a few years back with some mismanagement of funds.

There are more than just 3 active fraternities. Looks like the "Categories" filter on that site doesn't include them all. If you just type in the word fraternity, you will see that there are 7 listed which adds ACR, DSP, SPE, and SPL to your list. Same thing for sororities. There are a total of 8 sororities on the site.

So about this Daytona tournament, it's been stuck on 7 teams for a couple of days. Or am I mistaken?

TEKE Iota Iota chapter was founded on campus in 1963 by a group of blue collar guys. Initial class was a serious bunch. With the second class, quickly morphed into a major Boat House, $2.00 night party operation under my leadership as Social Chairman. Administration couldn't stand us. Brother Gavin Paul was our was our Dean Wormer. No sense of humor. Actually we were on double probation, but it was no secret.

So, I take it this is a 7 team tournament? There hasn't been a team announced in the past week.

I wouldn't mind playing in a better tournament either. This field stinks.

I wouldn't mind playing in a better tournament either. This field stinks. At least they go on a FL trip with a chance for some W's. It belies the trend of getting those Biggs/Power5 guys on a neutral court. Oh well. Scheduling OOC is always an issue, now might be worse.

These aren't even good mid majors. This tourney is a tick below the tourney they won when Brandon Stone went off and played the best games of his career. It's a tick above the tournament we played at Gola where G scheduled all the games at 5 PM instead of the later games, mid-week, and we went 0-3. It's about on par with the Cian Sullivan Irish homecoming, and waaayyy better than the Boardwalk Hall tournament we won 5 years ago.
I guess it's nice to go to Florida in November.

Cheddi Mosley balled out when 0-10 La Salle squared off against 0-10 Alabama A&M in that Boardwalk Hall Tournament… SOMEBODYS “O” HAS GOT TO GO

My wife went into premature labor with my 5 year old that Friday. Otherwise, I was going to watch that debacle.
Billy hahn won a tourney in 03-04 against like coppin state and Chattanooga, I thought we were gonna be good. That tournament in AC was on that level.
