Been wondering a lot about how tbis affects the non-revenue sports. Will colleges moved toward more of the club sports model? When I was in grad school and rowed for Notre Dame the men's team was a club sport. Same for my son who rowed for Villanova. My daughter rowed for Duquesne and it was an NCAA varsity sport for her.
If schools are now going to have to pay players for football and basketball, are they just going to relegate the non revenue sports to a club model...think soccer and baseball now with some of the top club program.
Would the schools be wise to start their own club feeders? A U12 through U21 La Salle club soccer program, for example? Malvern Prep has something like this with swimming and wrestling and gets kids who start out in their youth feeder programs to come to the school for high school.

I just love the bastardization of college athletics because of the greed on all sides.

Would a team full of Nova players even make the playoffs, let alone win a round?!
