Vince, Thank for the post and your kind words. And thanks to all who responded, I really appreciate it. I think everyone would like to hear this one story about my Dad and his Love for LaSalle and his utter disdain for St. Joe's. After high school my dad had to work for two years so he could afford to go to LaSalle. He lived in the Manoa section of Havertown and on his way home from class at LaSalle he would drive down City Avenue and past the St Joe campus. He would always see the St Joe students with there thumbs out looking for ride...he would top several feet past the group...yell out 'are you guys hawks' and the group would start running to his car in the hopes of catching a ride. Little did they know, he would hit the gas and yell back...'if your hawks...then fly home' . Thanks again. Mark

Mark: Your dad was one of a kind. The last time I saw him was at the Hockessin Post Office about 3 years ago. Our conversation was about the auto industry and the postal system. (He was not too happy that we had to wait in line over 10 minutes at the service counter.) Great person. Great Explorer. Vince

Great story! He had the right attitude about the Hawks. And two generations of La Salle alumni is fantastic. I'm sorry for your loss.

Mark. Sorry to hear the news, but it sounds like your Dad lived a great life and had the right approach for Hawks. Thanks for sharing the great memories.
