What is everyone’s temperature on his status?
I personally think he is trying to help La Salle find his replacement. From what I have heard from others that have some access to the situation I think he would prefer to turn over the program. To some he is comfortable with. I think he comes back if the right person can’t be found.
My concern is the time of uncertainty we are in. I don’t think it is good that we have not heard either way. Either I would like to see come to a conclusion this week.

I think if he wasn't coming back he would have said by now. You've got players that you're trying to secure from the portal, international players and possibly a HS grad or prep school kid. He's not going to cause upheaval where a kid commits and he leaves (and most likely the staff as well). I think he's here at least through next year. And Dunphy doesn't have to make an announcement one way or another. He's here.

A statement would come if he is retiring..

I will be the dissenter here.
I do think Dunphy and La Salle owe the fans a statement regarding his intentions. This is because of Dunphy’s last press conference and something he brought on himself with his open ended answer.
If he is still deciding then I can wait for the statement but the minute he decides a statement should be made. He should also be given a time limit as to how long he is given to make a decision.
They want us to give to the program and Explorers United then give us the framework for where we are going and what expectations should be for next year and going forward.
Are we really expected to sit here for a month or even longer with no communication on this?

My question on this is contract or no contract how difficult is it to remove any confusion by just issuing a press release saying Coach Dunphy will return.

Kentucky just said Cal (under contract) is coming back. I agree that one way or another (doesn’t need to be a press release), they should put something out there.

I appreciate everything he has done for our alma mater. One concern I have is an impact on the April 10th Day of Giving. Maybe I am overreacting.

Yeah he did kind of open the door to speculation with his answer after the last game.

That post has nothing to do with my take. He didn’t form my opinion. We just happen to agree to some point on this. I have a couple of people I respect in La Salle circles that helped me form my opinion at the moment.

If a job opens up, there will be an opening and they’ll take resumes. Fran will have a voice.

I don’t think Lilley sign with La Salle not knowing who the head coach is. Dunphy is here at least through next year.

I sent them a tweet. This pic was from the 10pm newscast on Ch. 17. It was corrected for the 11pm newscast.

Great to have him back. Thrilled to see we're playing North Carolina next season. The road back to relevance is a long one but getting Dunphy back, playing Carolina and getting a new arena will shorten that road back some. Go 'splorers!
