I slipped this tidbit in the opening comment, but La Salle has eight true road wins this season, most in the A-10. I mean, that's an NCAA tournament team if I ever saw one. My professed affinity for La Salle aside, am I wrong to rank them behind Butler? On a neutral court, with both healthy, would Ramon and the guys win? I just couldn't decide which deserved the No. 3 spot. La Salle is a little stronger recently. Butler has a better resume. I'd like to read your input ... on that topic, or anything else. Just drop it on this thread and I'll be checking in. Here's a link to the rankings: www.indysportslegends.com/2013/02/25/atlantic-10-power-rankings-billikens-rule/I appreciate you guys taking an interest in us, even as an out-of-market source. On a neutral court with Rotnei Clarke I give the edge to Butler in what would likely be another 54-53 finish but this time with the Bulldogs on top.
Glad to hear some out of market guys respect our road win success because our local guys continue to discredit us even with a team like Villanova losing at Seton Hall last night the local players will talk like, "Well that's the Big East for you" as if to say winning at Saint Bonaventure, GW, VCU and URI is a cakewalk compared to a 90 minute ride up the Jersey turnpike to play a battered and bad Seton Hall team.
I too think our road wins will resonate with the committee as a team that can compete in the tournament b/c they can win games away from home. A lot of power teams have only 1 or 2 true road wins right now

Yes, I would rank Butler higher than La Salle. the same way I have ranked La Salle above Xavier, Charlotte, and UMass. It was one bad result for Butler, and we have had our share of bad losses, but they are still stronger than La Salle otherwise.

IMO, Butler is clearly the #2 team in the league right now. They really don't have a bad loss the entire season and they have the two best OOC wins (Indiana and Gonzaga) by an A10 team. They were missing a starter in their losses to La Salle and Charlotte.
Not sure why Chris has VCU ranked ahead of them. I don't know if I'd even rank VCU ahead of La Salle or Temple at this point.
