Neither here nor there, but I just saw that Fairfield's Women's team is 27-1 and ranked 25th in the AP Poll. Had no idea.

Idea for next year - everyone wear the same color as the chairbacks (hopefully La Salle blue. That way if there are empty seats, it looks less empty

What are we going to complain about when we have the new arena and like every other school with a new arena we remain the same exact level of program? Man, I hate this line. Even if it doesn’t elevate the program one iota (not that I’m conceding that), we still need an improved arena. Fans need a better place to watch the game. The players need a better place to play a game. No one here thinks “new arena= perennial tournament team.” If I’m being totally honest, by biggest hope with the “new” building is just that I’ll enjoy being there more. |

When the renovated arena opens, we’ll complain about how it wasn’t enough or the design was lacking here and there. And truth be told, it’ll be warranted. Unless the renovation is out of this world, it’s more likely to be expensive lipstick on a pig and we’ll still be in need of significantly more upgrades to facilities. We’re still very much behind where we need to be.

If it looks like the renders I won’t complain. Do you, or anybody, know what the plans are for the training room and weight rooms, etc? We need more than a facelift to really change the program imo. |
