Since I brought my whole family to the game, opted for chair backs, so I was actually right in front of you guys in row N. Had I known royalty was behind me, would have said hi! My 6yo daughter picked up on his energy and started yelling along! Lol. Start her young and she could be Screamer III by the time she's in college. did she start shouting "are you kidding me" ?

Nice story... One photo states Rasual Butler and Ken Durret are on a banner....I think it'd actually Rasual Butler and Bernie Williams... but Durret may be partially visibly on the far right..

Post game Bron interviewed Gardler, Gill and Brickus. The question posed to each was what was it like to play their last game at Gola and they answered in that context. I do not think you can infer last game at LaSalle

The ancestors of the original Colonials including those of George Washington are probably happy that GW changed their name as their play on the court has been offensive in the last 12 games. Revolutionaries, I don't think so! Lol!
It really hurt losing to Temple, Howard, at Rhode Island St Joe's at home and St Louis at home... those 5 games would have made a huge difference. We could have been looking at a 20 win season heading into the conference tournament. Extremely disappointing considering what could have been.

I agree, but I do give credit to Coach and the staff for making critical defensive adjustments to take 4 of the last 5. If they didn't go sideways in the 2nd half of the Duquesne game, they'd be on a 5-game streak right now.

And if we're the type of team good enough to win 20 and not drop any close ones or games we were favored in, we probably could find another 4 or 5 wins and we're talking about an at-large. A game of inches.

i re-watched the game tonight. during the game, there was a gw possession that started with a little over 7 minutes left in the game that lasted until there was 6:50 left. when watching it live, myself and the people sitting around me thought we were seeing things but after watching the replay, it's right there on video as james bishop got away with two discontinuations within 5 seconds of each other and because of it, was able to score to cut the la salle lead to 60-58.
khalil did a fine job on him, stopping him on the right baseline and forcing him to pick up his dribble. A second later, bishop pivots and takes a left-handed dribble towards the foul line and picks up his dribble again. he pivots again, takes two right-handed dribbles down the right side of the lane and made a short contested jumper from maybe 5 feet. seeing it on video, it was even worse than i remembered it. whoever on here has espn+, please watch it and tell me i'm not crazy. it's just a little under 1 hour and 26 minutes into the broadcast.
three refs and not one of them called it. that's pretty bad. i wish i knew how to record clips off espn+ because i would send this to mcglade and whoever oversees a10 officiating if i could.

I don't think we "deserved" to win versus Howard and SLU. Temple was tough but the b'ball gods evened it up with the Penn win. So we can't count those as theory wins. Would have been nice to beat URI and SJU as you say, but it doesn't affect where we are/where we are going. We'd have gotten a slightly better A10 seed with +2 wins, but let's be real - we will lose soon enough in the tourney to an upper level A10 team with a strong frontcourt. Unless we add 2 quality frontcourt players via the portal, we have no shot at finishing high in the league and getting a dance bid. The arena won't do it. It takes NIL money and the smart use of it.

Bad losses are Temple, Howard, and SLU...and I realize that we have several 1 point wins, but they are still bad losses. I'm not reaching for 5 more wins, but I will say that those 3 bad losses and we're 18-13 instead of 15-16 (assuming we lose on Saturday). We can feel decent about 18 wins with this team. It doesn't get us postseason, but we're trending upwards instead of treading water. We have to go on quite a run in the A10 tourney to finish with a winning record as it stands now.

The officiating the entire game was just really strange. The refs let pretty much everything go. I remember that play with Bishop, but it wasn't the only play like that by GW and IIRC Brantley did the same thing once earlier in the game.. Gill or Shepherd had an obvious 4 step drive to the basket to score and nothing was called. It was just weirdly officiated. " three refs and not one of them called it. that's pretty bad. i wish i knew how to record clips off espn+ because i would send this to mcglade and whoever oversees a10 officiating if i could." Careful, my friend, that's some real Twilight Zone / Explorer Steve stuff right there. lol
