One of the best dunks at Gola. I remember Ramon had a sick one against Minnesota and a few others. But man what the hell, that kid should be in the Olympics.

Keeping Shepherd should be priority one. He’s got the athleticism to perform in this league. Become a consistent shooter (and he’s been better!) and you’re talking about an A10 top tier guy.

Best line I saw on Twitter:
Daeshon Shepherd just closed down Tom Gola arena.
How fitting.

Did anyone bring tools to take chair back seats? Someone should grab the twine on the baskets. Goodbye GOLA ARENA!!!

Just got home. Another team effort. Rokas once again was a major contributor with 13 points (2-2 from three), 6 rebounds and a couple blocks. Attendance was announced as 2278 which is one of our larger crowds this year. I thought Gola crowd was lively and excited to close it out with a W.

Also, to remind us this is La Salle, the main parking lot was full a few minutes before 2. I initially tried to park in the nursing school parking lot, but the door was locked. I parked illegally, hoping that our security team will be lenient. If not, I can always do what my friend Ian did one yeah when he had a boot put on his car because he never paid any tickets. He simply jacked up his car, deflated the tire, and stole the boot. Well, don’t leave us hanging. What happened when you went back to your car?

Others discovered my illegal parking spot over by the townhouses and joined in.

Today was a great win against GW 72-66 on seniors day and the last game at the Gola. Before I talk about the game, I like to mention Coach Fran by starting Tommy Gardler in the game. That was a class act in Coach Fran playing Gardler today (close to 8 minutes). The offense played well in the 1st half shooting over 50%, but the 2nd half offense was hot and cold. Defense was shaky throughout the game, but we didn’t bent to get the victory. Gill (15 points) and the human highlight Shepherd (12 points and 5 rebounds) was balling today. Brantley (15 points 7 rebounds and 6 assists) and Zan (6 points and 2 rebounds) played terrific coming off the bench. Jocius (13 points and 6 rebounds) game is improving every week. My armchair player of the game is Tommy Gardler. In my opinion, it not what he did today, it for the last couple years with us. Started out as a walk on and earning a scholarship. Next Saturday game against Loyola-Chicago is personal to me. I was born and raised in Chicago and I hated Loyola-Chicago and DePaul basketball. We need to go to Chicago and get this win.

Also post-game comments from Gill made it seem like he wasn’t coming back
After 4 years, he has had a good run
Thank you for your effort and commit to the program

Great win to close out Gola. Nice way to send the seniors out with a win in front of a better than usual crowd size.
Now just a little perspective on GW. Three of there starters yesterday were freshman, Buckhannon, Hutchison an Autry and they scored 21, 15 and 8 respectively. GW maybe down this year but future could be looking up.

Which one of you is waiting until it’s quiet to yell at the refs at the top of your lungs? That's one of the guys I sit with in W2, but he doesn't wait until it's quiet. He's Screamer II.

Since I brought my whole family to the game, opted for chair backs, so I was actually right in front of you guys in row N. Had I known royalty was behind me, would have said hi! My 6yo daughter picked up on his energy and started yelling along!

Crayzeeguy. With all the criticism leveled at La Salle's arena, it remains one of the few sports venues around where ticket prices and fan behavior allow you to bring young children. I've been a season ticket holder for most of the years beginning with Convention Hall and can't remember one incident of bad fan behavior from our fans. Proud La Salle alum!

Buchanan was killing us inside and on drives to the basket, but Dunphy finally started to double up on him and that helped slow him down. He could have been called for several offensive fouls and he walked a fair bit, but there's no denying he's a good basketball player. Annoying as hell to watch, but someone that would have helped La Salle immensely. GW has some talent, the question is, do they suffer from a Billy Lange like problem?

Since this was the first time all 4 of us went, I was pleasantly surprised my concession bill for all of us was the same as it typically is for just me down at Wells Fargo.

Toughest game of the season for him. If we had 50% of his game today we win by 10. jhamir struggled with his shot but his floor game just continues to be stellar. the team only had 3 turnovers for the game, one each for him, khalil and tommy gardler. also, there is no way jhamir only had 3 assists yesterday.
