and we have ourselves a winning record. Everytime I do this, the team tanks, but it's right there for the taking. I'd love to have the Temple, Howard and SLU losses back, but I realize that's not how it works. It's been rough since the Rosemont game, but this team can have a marked improvement over last year's team, with a winning record.

Hoping Khalil proves to be prophetic from the UMass press conference…

I had us at 6-12 in conference play in the predictions thread. I think that's doable.

I don't know. But take care of business at home on Sunday, and go from there. I just want to avoid the PIG.

I just want to avoid the PIG. i'm torn on this. the chances for la salle to finish higher than 10th are really slim, and do you really want to play in the 8-9 game? i hate the 8-9 game. it has not been kind to la salle, and even if you win, you're stuck playing the 1 seed in the quarterfinals. with the way the tournament is set up now, friday is an off day, so if any of the teams who finish between 10-15 can make it through the first three days, they get a day of rest before the semifinals which gives them a shot considering how there's so much parity in the league.

Looking at the schedules of some of the other PIG candidates, we do have a chance to finish 9th, but will likely need 3 wins to do so. Not mathematically with 2, but it is highly improbable. Davidson - currently 10th and at 5-8 in the conference could end the season without another win, facing Richmond, Dayton, and St. Joe's on the road, and UMass and Loyola at home.
