How do you leave Diggins open for a wide open 3?

Stopped pushing the pace. We don’t know how to play halfcourt.

Brickus is money. Seals the win.
UMASS makes 2 straight 3’s from New Jersey to keep the pressure on.
There is no doubt in my mind La Salle University did something years ago to piss the basketball Gods off. What I watched in the last 25 seconds just doesn’t happen to other schools. The shots these opposing teams have made over the years is just incredible. With that being said, we overcame it this time.

Shout-out to Rokas who had 10 and 6 despite playing sparingly in the first half due to foul trouble. Made some key plays at crucial moments.

Thrilled to win that game, absolutely thrilled! But... 2nd half sucked. I thought we played the last half of the 2nd half like a team struggling to believe in itself. I could be wrong and it was merely the mighty minutemen coming to life ...either way maybe this win will help us believe in ourselves! We played hard and really well at times, and deserved the win IMO despite the tired drooping (perhaps diaper filled) drawers in the 2nd half.

Just back from the game. Everything was clicking in that first half, but then everything came grinding to a half with a little over 11 minutes left with La Salle up 18 (and looked poised to go up 20). I believe we scored 2 points over the next 6 minutes and a total of 10 points in the last 11 minutes of the game. We stopped attacking and several players made some really bad, lazy passes. Despite them hitting two 3's in the last minute from the parking lot (A game of HORSE, anybody?), the team managed to come away with the win thanks to Brickus.
A few other small points: Martin inexplicably removed Josh Cohen for a long stretch late in the game. He was absolutely destroying us inside. Why he did that is beyond me. The other head scratcher was the refs not calling a single 3 second call on Cohen. That guy literally set up camp inside all game waiting for a pass and DID NOT MOVE. The refs weren't even counting, they just ignored it. I counted one time, slowly, and he was in the paint for 6 seconds before he moved out. I was waiting for him to pitch a tent and light a campfire in the paint. Simply ridiculous.

And it was a really, really dumb foul to boot.

Marrero got hurt towards the end of the first half. A buddy of mine said he went off and was holding his knee. He didn't come out for the second half and he was later walking with the trainer during the game down the walkway behind the baseline, but away from the locker room. He was limping. He walked past the ladies room and under the stands and that's the last I saw him for the day. Not sure where they were going, but not having him will certainly hurt the team's offense.

I trust Dunohy and his decades of experience, but would it kill him to use Milos a little bit? He is a big body to wear down Cohen a little bit and maybe get some rebounds.

Great win today against UMASS. The offense was white hot today shooting over 50% from the field. Shepherd was a one man show in the first half of the game with 19 points. In the second half, it the Brickus ( 19 points and 6 assists) coming through in the clutch while UMASS was making a big run in the second half of the game. Brantley (14 points and 10 rebounds) had double double and Gill (10 points) played well off the bench. We finally broke our 5 game losing streak against a good UMASS team. My armchair coach player of the game is divided in two half. Shepherd the first half and Brickus the second half. It feel good for us being in that winning circle and let continue that winning way on Wednesday against St. Bonaveture. Let get it baby.

Very nice win yesterday, everyone played well, some exceptional, my only complaint being the referee's especially in the 2nd half! As mentioned previously, Cohen camped in lane (understatement)with no 3 second violation, cross continually shoved off with no call, and the foul differential was for much of second half was comical. Phantom calls, first two on our center were a joke. Question where the A-10 get these poor officials? Lastly, what is status of Marrero?

I believe the first time I had this thought was upon Blitz Wooten's totally bogus technical foul that got us bounced from the the MCC tournament around '93 or so. So, yeah, I've had this hunch for most of 30 years now.
