A two win team gets smoked at home to a one win team. No D. Little effort. Really ugly loss.
Hope they can flush this and play with a purpose in the upcoming games.
When the effort isn't there it magnifies the weaknesses of each player's skill set. There's no excuse for that. Even if your opponent is more talented individually in a given position, you can still box out and play D and neither was evident today.

St. Louis has the 193rd best offense in the country now, La Salle just surrendered 1.34 Points per possession to them which ties the Duke output earlier in the year on the road.

Terrible performance tonight, zero intensity with even less desire to compete, worse defense I've ever seen perhaps ever. We were manhandled all game and our guys put up very little resistance, very disappointing. Shepherd is lost, provided nothing, and is now seated way down on the bench. I'm being kind when I say he's lost! Terrible attendance, poor talent outside of perhaps 4-5 players, losing to a 1-7 team makes me think La Salle cannot compete in the a-10 league, can't see anything improving. Coach Dunphy should be embarrassed, wonder if he is?

The only solace in tonight was seeing Nova, down 3 with 18 seconds left, come out of a timeout and dribble the ball around and never get a shot off...oh...and they had a timeout left to take.
Fans there are done with Neptune.

We won't see 500 again this season. The Sixers will be in the play in tourney if we're lucky, basketball stinks in this city. C'Mon Deuce Jones.

The Big 5 will be shut out of the NCAA tourney again. Drexel is in first place in the CAA. There is hope for the "Big 5".

Richie Tarr calls it as he sees it. I like his honesty. Hands down he is the best guy in there working with Kale. Really knowledgeable and provides spot-on analysis without coming off as a homer.

The game against SLU was total domination today. It was grown men against baby in the game against SLU. SLU had their way against us on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. This was the worst home game beat down in a while. We came with no energy and it show in the player action. Gill (24 pts and 5 rebounds) was the only player in my opinion played with energy and compassion. Jocius (19 pts) has his best offensive game this season. My main concern is Coach Fran losing his team after this game. Shepherd was a no show against SLU and look lost throughout the game. After a 9-4 weak non-conference record, everything belly up in A10 play. We are now tie or in last place in the A10 conference. We are on the road against Richmond this coming Saturday and we need this win in the worst way. Let get this victory baby.

Watching St. Louis last night it's hard to understand how their record is so bad. There's a lot of talent combined with size and athleticism on that roster. They have certainly underachieved. Despite the blowout loss there are two players I think deserve a shout-out. The first is Khalil Brantley. Khalil never quit. Down 20 with under 3 minutes to go he continued to sprint back on defense and fight through screens. He also had 10 rebounds. Production can't always be consistent but effort can and he always plays hard. The second is Rokas who had his third consecutive solid performance. I concede that he was bullied by the SLU big but I'll never understand why pivot men are permitted to create space by banging into the defender's chest. Despite that Rokas played hard and maybe he's turning a corner. Talk was he was playing hurt earlier so hopefully he's 100 percent now and will continue to improve.

This is Division 1 NCAA basketball, it is not a public high school. Playing hard is the minimum requirement.

This loss dropped out NET from 208 to 230 and bumped SLU's from 256 to 234. With 8 regular season games left, this team is on the verge of ending the season with the lowest NET since it was introduced, and needs 2 more wins just to tie our worst conference record of 4-14 since the A10 expanded to 18 games. Do we realistically see 2 more wins looking at the schedule based on how the team played last night? I originally had this as a win, and GW, Rhode Island, Duquesne, and UMass of the remaining games. Now...not so sure we can get two of those 4.

in their last 3 halves of basketball, la salle has given up 50,51 and 51 points. my guess is that they played man at least 85% of the time.

He recruits very well and is a decent coach, but his teams should be a lot better based on the level of talent he snags.

Any reason why Shepherd and Zan played only 12 and 5 minutes respectvely?? Zan just is not getting minutes. He is a tweener that just doesn't warrant major minutes. Shepherd is just not playing well right now. Especially defensively which is where he can be more of a contributor. Just my guess.

Surprised at the lack of minutes for Shepherd as well but at same time, im not given how he’s performed. Since A10 play started, he’s been our worst starter. In fact, he’s been the worst player completely.
