I'll be watching, but I can't say that I'm terribly optimistic about this one. I've seen St. Louis twice; they're big, they're quick, and if I remember correctly, they have 7 guys averaging 20 or more points per game. One saving grace is that their defense is atrocious - IF we take advantage and don't go ice-cold like we tend to do. A post on the St. Louis message board gave me a chuckle: "The battle for 14th place commences. Significant pillow fight tiebreaker implications. The loser will be the odds-on favorite to finish last in the league. This is why we watch."  |

Oh we're getting another 3 or 4 years out of this one. I'm hoping the thread one day reaches "Ed Croswell" status. Movies will be made about it. Basketball historians will study it like the Dead Sea Scrolls. People will tell their children and their children's children about that thread. Joe put a lot of work into that post. It would be wrong to let that just fade away into obscurity. |

They are not even close to 7 players averaging 20 per game and given their record it does not make any sense. They have four player starting with Jimerson averaging more that ten per game. 14.8, 13.3, 12.5, 12.5

It's worse than that. I was looking at the "Minutes per game" column. (The first column should be scoring - who cares about minutes?) I was wondering how they could be so lousy with seven players averaging 20 points or more per game.  Thanks for the bail out, "calsufan." I wish it were a typographical error. Sorry, everyone. What I thought you meant to say was, 7 players are averaging double figures in their careers at the Gola, and it just came out all discombobulated.
