Sure. If you want to look at an N of 1 to build your case even though it isn't statistically relevant, have at it. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. I know the guy who jumped into this discussion with his “only in-conference matters” after nine (9) games isn’t talking about sample size. 9 games is 50% of the total possible sample size for a regular season. With a total sample size of 18, your N of 1 results in a 98% margin of error for a 95% confidence level. My N of 9 drops it to a 23.8% margin of error. Feel free to continue to build your case, though, with weak correlations and a 98% margin of error. I'm sure the educated members of Explorer Town will give that level of statistical rigor the consideration it deserves.

Only a 23.8% margin of error sounds like it would be really, really good, right?

Only a 23.8% margin of error sounds like it would be really, really good, right? i'd take those betting odds over 98%. It is all relative. In computing your margin of error When trying to make your argument seem stellar Remember that lower is always better

But basketball Jesus could come down and say that what I say makes sense and you’d still come up with another reason to continue this fight. I think Jesus was more of a Cross Country kind of guy nope, he's a bowler.

So, I figured out the compromise so you guys can stop arguing. They should take the same number of 3's, but make more of them.

Coming into the game on Saturday, La Salle was averaging 21 3-point attempts per game in their five conference wins (26.5 in their eleven losses).
Guess how many were taken on Saturday - 21 - right on average for the wins.

Guess how many were taken on Saturday - 21 - right on average for the wins. Think a major reason for more 3s in loses is a team attempting to rapidly score in vain attempt to pull ahead. And...if your not a LaSalle opponent...they are rushed and more likely missed...

The starter went 5 and 1/3. I have once again proven my point."

Sixers set franchise record for threes made (24 for 43) and end 3-game losing streak with win at Toronto.

nope, he's a bowler. one of the funniest movies of all time, man. This is funny. My son and I were sitting at an In-N-Out Burger in LA a few minutes ago and we were actually talking about the best Coen Brothers movie. He said Fargo (my #2) and I said The Big Lebowski. I love that movie. John Goodman (Walter Sobchak) stole the show.

nope, he's a bowler. one of the funniest movies of all time, man. if you see john turturro is in the cast, the chance that movie is great is around 99.9%. at the very least, he always gives a great performance.
