Figured I'd put this up for February and the week or so of games in March before the A-10 Tournament.

NET rankings to start the month. Still a 1-bid league unless someone knocks off Dayton in the A10 tourney and steals a bid. Bonnies are at Dayton on Friday night on ESPN2 - will be interesting to see how they bounce back after the lost to Richmond, and the Venning vs Holmes battle in the middle should be a physical one. Team | NET Ranking | Dayton | 18 | Richmond | 68 | St. Bonaventure | 69 | George Mason | 84 | St. Joe's | 85 | UMass | 90 | VCU | 92 | Duquesne | 99 | Loyola-Chicago | 119 | Davidson | 126 | George Washington | 163 | Fordham | 182 | Rhode Island | 201 | La Salle | 211 | St. Louis | 247 |

Any chance a second team plays their way into At-Large consideration? And if so, who's the most likely candidate?

Just not seeing it. Richmond has an easier path the rest of the way, and might potentially make their way up to mid-50s in NET, but that's still not going to be enough to steal a bid.
Bonnies would be a next best guess...especially if they pick up a Quad 1 win on the road against Dayton, but they've had some bad losses (Duquesne, Fordham, Canisius) that are going to keep them out.

St. Louis is looking pretty good against Fordham right now. 🤷

Dayton is -3 at Hawk Hill tomorrow night on CBS Sports at 8. I'd figure Dayton will kill them, but that line is interesting.

St Joe's had Dayton in the ropes in the first half, taking a lead into halftime, but fell apart with Dayton going on a 15-0 run in the second half and ultimately losing by 15.
13 for 37 from 3 for the Hawks vs 12 for 22 for Dayton. If only St. Joe's had taken more than 37 3s, they might have won the game, right Joe?

Problem was the Hawks allowed Dayton to shoot 12-22 on threes. They gave up 94 points. Taking 3’s wasn’t their issue.

Taking 3’s wasn’t their issue. another big issue was erik reynolds played one of the worst games i've ever seen him play. i love the kid, plays the right way, handles himself with class, but tonight he couldn't hit the ocean. 2-11 from the floor, 1-8 from three, only 6 points.

I thought this SJU UD game paralleled what happened in our game versus SJU.
In each, the underdog home team came out strong and built a big lead but gave up a large lead for only a modest margin going in to halftime. In the second half, the favorite took the lead with a large run and then built on that lead for a decisive win that demoralized the home team.
To Glitter's point - should the underdog have shot more threes? No!
It was clear that the winner took better shots and was the decisive winner. UD was +7% on FGA% overall and +19% on 3pt margin.
UD shot 40% less 3s than UD last night. What do you know, SJU shot 38% less 3s than us in their win over us.
How can this be? The SJU UD outcome is miraculous considering UD and SJU are # 1 and 2 in A10 3 point goal shooting. UD is #1 on 3 % (SJU is 2) and SJU is 1 in 3s made (and UD is second). UD shoots 20% less threes on average than SJU.
Joe, what do you think? Maybe send some screen shots to prove me wrong.

St. Louis has given up 26 points in the first 6 minutes against the Hawks. Just Unbelievable. We get Final 4 St. Louis and they get disinterested St. Louis.

Richmond with their first home loss last night to UMass. Loyola Chicago survives a scare at home against the Hawks who were missing Greer and Christ but got 29 points from Xzayvier Brown. Loyola has now gone from worst to first in the A10. NET rankings aren't showing me anything about us being a 2-bid league unless Dayton falls in the conference tournament. Team | NET Ranking | Dayton | 19 | St. Bonaventure | 68 | VCU | 72 | Richmond | 78 | George Mason | 86 | UMass | 87 | St. Joe's | 94 | Loyola-Chicago | 104 | Duquesne | 105 | Davidson | 117 | Rhode Island | 181 | George Washington | 197 | Fordham | 199 | St. Louis | 225 | La Salle | 237 |

If they really wanted to sell seats, they'd let anyone who shows up for the final game start to dismantle seats as soon as the game ends.

I'm going down on Saturday to meet up with my Dad (my parents just moved to Delaware). Not that excited to go to the game if I'm being honest, but it'll be (hopefully) the last time I'm in the current version of the arena. Not sure if I'll have any feelings beyond Good Riddance. I've had some good memories there since I started going to games as a Freshman in 2004, but it's definitely countered by all the drawbacks of the place.

I'm hoping the power goes out again in the middle of the game like it did for the very first game we had there in 1998. It was a "very La Salle" moment.

I was there when it opened so there were some great games and bad games with fun shit that happened, but those were despite the arena itself, not because of. Hopefully this next one can be part of the draw and not an obstacle to going.

Better save the chairbacks. Knowing La Salle they may be reusing them in the reconfiguration.

Saw the end of VCU-UMass game. UMass runs VCU out of the building. The announcers start the canonization process for Coach Frank Martin.
As Yakov Smirnoff used to say “what a country!”
