UMass ar Loyola on CBS Sports starting at 7 tonight Ramblers 79 - Minutemen 78 VERY physical game. Came down to the last second. Loyola has a freshman center - Miles Rubin - who is an amazing rim protector.

St. Joe's lost by 19 points to St. Bonaventure 91 - 72 at Olean, NY on the nationally-televised 'ESPN Friday Night Showcase'.
The Bonnies' Daryl Banks III goes off for 29 pts ( 9 for 13 ), after having torched the Hawks for 36 points last season. Otherwise he averages 9 ppg against everyone else. Moses Flowers II scored 23 pts, while the Bonnies 6'-10" Chad Vening contributed 21 pts.
[ Note : The ESPN broadcast team of Mike Corey and Noah Savage did an outstanding, objective and entertaining job IMO of calling the game. ]

Vening was a beast inside on both offense and defense.

Vening was a beast inside on both offense and defense. St. Joe's redshirt freshman center Christ Essandoko ( 7'-0, 285 lbs) had 14 points -- including several Joel Embiid - like silky 3-point conversions from NBA range -- and continues to evolve, improve, amaze and impress.

Schmidt is such a great coach. Enjoyed watching that one, but in fairness the zebras had two bad missed calls against VCU in the last 30 seconds.

Look at the home records of college and NBA teams. It's not because of crowd noise, it's the officials.
