I'd rather the team play a real opponent before a 9 day break that helps the team get ready for A10 play. Buy game, home and home, a game in Boardwalk Hall, or go to Rupp Arena, I don't care. The game was a zero. Neither team got better and nobody benefitted from it. Waste of time. It was like that Rowan game 8 years ago. The only way it was a positive is that it didn't hurt our SOS, since D3 games are ignored. The alternative probably would've been one of the worst D1 teams possible, if they could even come on that date. La Salle may have paid more money for a worse strength of schedule and worse profile, even with a win. I'm not sure I buy that argument myself, but it does make some kind of sense.

We play 30 of these games, not 82. Why waste one when we only get 30?

Scheduling games as mid majors is hard.
